Question about Samsung Digimax S730 Digital Camera
Ok I read the other postings but nothing helped or is the same. I hear the fizz sound but the camera won't turn on nor is the lens out. I put new batteries in and did nothing. I hadn't used the camera for about a month and left out batteries and card since I knew I wouldnt be using it. I haven't taken more than 50 pictures with it anyway and only about 6 months old. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Anyone had success at sending it back to samsung?
Same problem(s), and I have tried EVERY "Tip" I found on this website.... NOTHING!
So, I returned it to Samsung "Repair" - paying the freight, and they sent me back the SAME camera, saying they re-configured the "Charge", which means ??? IDK...
Within 4 days SAME EXACT PROBLEM!! I called & talked to 3 of the worst CS people EVER (do they recruit them from Fry's?). They said to send it back AGAIN - & of course I need to pay ALL freight. I asked how many times I would have to continue doing this until they "replaced" the camera... well we have in our records that there was nothing wrong with it the 1st time (!!!) - The NERVE!!?!?!?! So after 3 CS people all w/NO answers, they said they would email me the ticket info to return it again & have a "Manager" call me back. That was three months ago..... I gave up, figured I'd be better off using the freight $$$ & saving my time by just getting a different camera - ANYTHING but Samsung! NEVER again!!! They will not even acknowledge that this is a reoccuring, or common problem. And I see them advertising this piece of "****" daily STILL.
If anyone else found re-course, I would love to hear about it :)

I just had that same problem happen last night, which is frustrating considering vacation is one week away. The camera started working again after I held down the power button for several seconds. I don't know if this will work for you, but it got my camera working again.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
