The only reason I can come up with is a hardware problem. Changing colours on your iPod is an error in your screen. You'll have to go to an official Apple retailer and have it fixed. first off find where your music is stored and open up that window then open up a window with you mp3 player in it and drag and drop the music into the window with your mp3 player, or you can use windows media player to do the same thing, open up windows media player and connect your mp3 player then once it recognizez it open up the music library and start dragging the songs you want from the list over to the sync list and after your done click on the sync button and wait after its done you should have hours of music to enjoy

Maybe try to download musics from a program like Itunes or limewire I tried it and my philips works fine.

plug in mp3 and there should be a window come up with what you want to do. choose rip music or download music. if you canplug it in and the computer finds your mp3 player. when it starts to play choose rip music. if it cannot find it look for your mp3 player on the internet and download instructions.

Many times, MP3 players will play music from an "Audio" folder. Try naming the folder "Audio".
