I keep getting an error message to clean the corona wires. I even replaced the toner cartridge. The new one is WL-TN360. I can't get even a test print to run. Someone on this site once said to have the toner door open and restart while holding down the main start button inside. Then to push that button a certain number of times to do a restart. I lost these instructions so this isn't fising the problem.

Hen you insert the cartridges into the machine the cradle should have a small cable attached to it. Please clean that and then try the machine again.

Printer Status LED is Red and Drum Light is Yellow

Hi, this error shows when the corona wire is dirty, some times I clean the corona wire with a small screw driver pressing the corona wire down and slide the screw driver to the both sides also once you clean in the up I press from the side and slide the screwdriver after that with a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol slide from side to side, or replace the drum unit and reset, if you install a new toner, there is a mechanic control for reset the printer toner counter, this only works the first time that you install the cartridges, for example If you install the cartridge in 1 printer and then move to other printer the other printer keep the counter for the old cartridge, if you are sure that your cartridge is new you need to open a return the gears to is original position in order to install in another printer.

Installed TN360 Brother toner and now getting 6 "dots", evenly spaced on the right edge of each paper. The cartridge has been "rocked" and the corona wire cleaned.

More than likely you have some excess toner that is stuck on the image drum, thus the evenly spaced dots down the page. Examine the image drum to see if you see the stuck on toner. Take care not to touch the "glassy" surface of the drum. Use a lint free cloth to see if you can remove the spots. Do not use force as this can damage or scratch the image drum and then you will have scratch marks running down your page. If this does not do the trick you might also have to replace the image drum.

Printer keeps saying to clean the corona wire. I cleaned it several times but the message keeps popping up.

To clean the corona wire in the brother laser printer, it said to remove the drum/toner assembly from the printer. This is very easy to do, you simply pull down the front of the printer, and press a small green tab down and pull. Then the toner and drum assembly will quickly come out.
After that, it says you must clean the corona wire by moving a small green square back and forth several times. It seemed kind of strange to me, but I did it anyways. In the upper right corner of the drum/toner assembly, there is a small green/blue square that can be moved back and forth. I did this several times.
I then placed the unit inside, and the error message went away for a minute. However it still wouldn't print and the error message came right back up. I was a bit frustrated since I have only owned this printer for about 2-3 months.
But then I realized something: The toner button had been blinking for about a month. I had already purchased a high yield black toner cartridge for the brother laser printer (Tn-330/TN360). I purchased it online, and had it stored for when I eventually ran out of toner.
I thought perhaps the error message had something to do with the old toner. Maybe it was out?? So I once again opened the front of the laser printer, and removed the toner/drum assembly. I pressed a green tab, removed the old toner, and then added the brand new high yield black laser toner cartridge. The whole process was very simple (you gotta love today's technology).
I then quickly "cleaned the corona wire" a few times again just to be safe. I re-installed the toner, and the printer was up and running. So apparently it will throw this error when you are out of toner. Now the printer is running great again, and I really like this printer.
If you are still using an ink jet printer, then you are living in the stone age. I was reluctant to buy a new laser printer, but now I love it. The toner only costs $30-60 and lasts for months. I print hundreds of labels out each month-just to give you an idea of how long it lasts.or get more information Call +877 889 6859 for detail.

Corona cleaning does not solve error message

You will need to replace the drum unit on the printer.

Copies are black and where is this corona wire? I

Your cartridge has two sections, the drum and the toner section. The corona wire is on the drum section. There should be a blue tab on the top left hand side of your drum unit. Slide this tab across the cartridge one or two times, returning the tab to its original position. There should be an arrow on the blue tab that will match up with an arrow on the drum unit when the tab is in its resting position. Performing this action cleans the corona wire inside the cartridge. If this doesn't fix it you may need to purchase a new drum unit.

Alarm is flashing, LED reads install Cartridge but the cartridge is installed. Any suggestions? Yes it is the right cartridge and I have tried replacing it with a new one, same error message

You've most likely got a dirty corona wire and/or drum. The wire should be cleaned each time you change the toner as well as if/when the print quality starts to degrage. Remove the toner cartridge, give the corona wire several swipes with the tab and make sure the tab is put back securely in place. If cleaning the wire doesn't fix your problem, go ahead and clean the drum. Either one of these or both should solve your issue. Only other thing that could cause your error would be the toner cartridge is not securely in place. (shouild click in securely). Best of luck.

"Toner Low" keeps showing

Hi Meridy!
There could be a few reasons for the Toner Low msg you're getting.
  1. The toner wasn't evenly distributed when the cartridge was changed (shake gently from side to side before installing)
  2. The cartridge wasn't properly installed (ensure that the lock lever "clicked" into place
  3. The corona wire wasn't cleaned when changing the cartridge or the the blue tab wasn't put back in place (this is less likely the issue but still a possibility)
  4. The new toner cartridge was old and is now defective
I hope this helps with your problem. All the best!

Corona wire AND MORE SPAM 1-800-975-0148

I was getting the clean the corona wire problem message even after repeated cleanings.  Before this problem occured the toner light was flashing warning of low toner. When I got the clean the wire pop up the toner light was on all the time indicating the toner was depleated.  So, I thought I would try replacing the toner cartridge and see what happened. I opened the new toner box and noticed on the foil packege specific instructions to clean the corona wire when installing the new toner.  I installed the new toner and cleaned the wire one more time. I then reinstalled the drum and toner assembly into the printer and the clean the corona wire message did not come up again.  The printer now works fine.
