Misalignment messing up paper edge and printing

Hi, How are you?

My HP LaserJet 4P would mess up the edge of the paper as the paper moved throught the machine. Printed texts ended tilting to one side. The edge of the paper actually folded up about 3 mm (one eighth on an inch) at the tail end.

Could you advise what parts to fix/replace? Or, is it more economical to threw it away?

I put up this printer because I have an almost little-used toner cartridge in it and I have another never used cartridge on the shelf.

I would says check the fuser assembly for the folding the paper problem and the text tilting is a scanner/laser issue.

carefully check the paper path for anything blocking the way.

print a test page and open the lid when the paper is inside to stop it, inspect the paper to see if it's folded and also see the image on the paper to see if it's ok before reaching the fuser

hope this helps

My printer is squeezing paper edge while printing

HP printers have a side guide in the paper tray. That can be adjusted to be too tight or too slack by moving the edge guide out or in. Try making it just touching the edge of the paper.

How to do borderless printing on HP laserjet 1022n?

the hp 1022 is not capable of printing edge to edge for that matter very very VERY few can. the problem is that the printer needs to be able to move the paper through the machine without distorting the printed image and this requires a LEAD EDGE usually about 3-5mm edge to edge down the long side of the paper the printer is able to get quite close to edge at 2-3mm either side but NOT EDGE to EDGE the only real way of accomplishing true edge to edge is to overprint and trim the final page to size.e.g. print on A3 and cut to A4

I have a HP laserjet 4P. The print was coming out

You need to replace your transfer roller. Might as well do a complete maintenance kit.(Rollers, Fuser and Transfer Roller)

Re HP Laserjet 4P after inserting envelope to print, upon giving PRINT command, printer will not print and indicates PAPER JAM. However, there is no real paper jam. No problem printing regular 8 1/2 x 11...

Most likely a bad pick up roller these machines will give a jam error if the paper or envelope is not picked up. Try cleaning the roll for the tray you are having the trouble with if the condition improves you have found the problem.
Hope this helps

Laserjet 3015 is printing multiple pages on one sheet

exists special function in driver of the printer which quantifies pages of the document on one signet sheet. Sounds like "Multiple printing" you can manipulate or disactivate this function.

HPLaserjet4P - printer service 50 -

Hi,

A 50 Service error is a fuser error. Turn the printer off for 5 to 10 minutes, then turn it back on. If the error is still there, I think your going to need to make a service call you can try reseating the fuser, but be sure to let the fuser cool completely before touching it.
Good Luck the HP Laserjet 4p is a great printer.
