The correct download link for the Sansa Media Converter should be:

    http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/SMC

When downloads are blocked, temporary allow downloads.

Save the file "mediaconvert_4_256.exe" (size 101 MB) to a specific location and run the file after the download has finished.

Can not get software to load on vista

Hi

The reason you probably cannot get the drivers and utilities software for this device to load on a Vista computer is that the device is designed only for:

Windows 2003, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows XP.

I researched and scouted around for them without success, so I doubt any Vista Drivers exist for it.

I suggest you use it with an XP computer or you invest in a newer MP3 player that is definitely Vista compatible.

I hope this helps.

Want to down load pics don't know how

You have to plug in and install your MP3 player on your computer. When you do that, you should get a small window that pops up asking you what you'd like to do; transfer files, open software, etc.

Choose file transfer, find the folder on your player that you'd like to import pictures into and then in another explorer window, find your pictures.

You should be able to drag and drop files from one folder to the other.

I need a driver for my Sansa e250 for windows xp

Get all the needed software from Sandisk's website, the manufacturer. You should not need a driver for Windows XP - it should automatically recognize it. I would strongly suggest downloading and reading the user manual for this player - also available from Sandisk's website.

Sandisk is not detected in Vista operating system notebook

See the FAQ here - http://www.sansa.com/support/sansa_view/faqs

The most common reason for this problem is not having the latest Windows Media Player installed, or having a Windows OS version that is not supported by the Sansa player.
The Sansa players support Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista and above. If your operating system version is supported by the Sansa player:
SOLUTION 1 – Download and install the latest Windows Media Player

SOLUTION 2 – If that didn’t help, and you are running Windows Vista, apply the following hotfix - KB940199
SOLUTION 3 – If that didn’t help, download and Install the MTP Porting Kit (click here)
SOLUTION 4 – If that didn’t help, try connecting the device to the PC using MSC mode
