Hello DWolfS,
1) Are you still looking for a solution?
2) Are you able to trace the odor (e.g. do you see any visible signs of scorching or burning, esp. with the electronics components?
3) Unless you are an electronics technician, you won't be swapping out cooked parts from a circuitboard (and if you were, you wouldn't need my advice......(;^]). If the circuitboard is bad, it's probably more trouble than it's worth to fix.
EcoQuest Int'l, manufacturer of the Living Air, no longer provides repair or refurbishment of the Classic product, but they do offer a trade-in on a newer version. If you can't locate the dealer you purchased it from to assist you, you can likely find a dealer in the LA area (Google or Yahoo keyword search "EcoQuest Dealer, Los Angeles"), or contact EcoQuest directly aT 1-800-989-2299 or
[email protected].; I'm sure they can put you in-touch with a dealer in your area.
The company website is
