There is one of 2 things going on either the machine needs to be descaled and or the brew unit screen is blocked. Remove the brew unit from machine and check screen below the red o-ring.
The coffee grind could be too fine and or not enough coffee is being added to the brew chamber after the machine grinds it. You can try to adjust the amount of coffee being used for an espresso and or adjust the grind.
Hi
Your showing a Syncrony but this is for a Syncrony Compact. They are different. Open the door. Remove the drip tray, dredge drawer. On the left side and towards the back of the brew group, there is a single screw in the brew group. If you can't get the dredge drawer out, just move it as far to the left as you can to get to the screw. Remove the screw. Grab the handle, squeeze and pull carefully, but firmly fast. Everything will come out (drip tray, dredge drawer, brew group and there might be water in the drip tray). The brew group should come out. There is a piece that remains in the machine. Slide the piece down and to the right and it will come off. Insert the piece into the hole on the backside of the brew group with the clip up. Tighten the screw and move brew group back into position. To return the brew group to the centered position, you first need to drop the funnel. To do this, look on the opposite side of the brew group from the handle. At the top you will see an object that looks like a sharks fin. If you follow this piece down you will see 2 horizontal bars on the brew group body. Push your finger between these 2 bars and the funnel will drop. Now you can push the puck slide on the left side down and then to the center of the brew group. If you look down through the funnel you should see a piston. This should be centered in the funnel. If not just push the slide to the right until it does. Push the press button and you are now ready to reinsert the brew group into the machine. First you must insert the dredge drawer back into the machine. Close the door and turn on the machine without having the brew group in. You will hear the motor turn on and when it stops completely, pull out the dredge drawer, drip tray, then open the door and insert the brew group. Slide the drip tray, dredge drawer back in, close the door and test.
Hi Check the drain behind the brew unit. There is a pocket below the injector that can plug up and cause water to drain under the drip tray. Check this first. Stick you finger in the pocket and see if there is water in it. If there is, the drain below and to the right is plugged and just needs to be cleaned.
HI
There is a panel behind the brew unit, that has 2 screws. Remove it and clean the coffee residue behind it. That is what drains the pressure relieved after brewing, and has coffee residue that can build up and cause the leak. It should leak into the drip tray though, except when you rremove it.
First clean the screen and tube on the brew unit, then lube the guides/gear grooves on the brew unit, also lube the o-ring(big red one). Then that should take care of it. You can also try backwashing/degreasing the brew unit if the machine has a preground chute.
