When using the web cam the picture of the person i'm talking to is blurry but they say that my picture to them is clear. is it my end or there end that needs fixed. lindsey ellis

This is not on your end but the end of the person you wish to converse with. Can you see them? if so your end is working. Talk them into redoing their cam software or have them learn how to use their web cam. I do not think it is on your end of the cam. John
hi susan...( by the way my surname is Morris to lol ) anyhow...well you are right, web cams on laptops are no way near as good as the external ones and also with laptops they are not as good at handling web related images as well as home pc's, i think the best solution would be to purchase an external web cam and use that, if i may sugest a nice web cam that i personally use on my laptop when i am away it the logitech web-cam 250, this is an excellent web-cam to use for laptops and are very cheap to purchase....hope this helps happy new year

Your web cam is blurry because you have not focussed it. Please put it on and when you see yourself in it, then rotate the black ring around the lens both clock and anti clockwise till you see yourself clear.
There is a focus ring around the lens of the WEB cam turn this ring until your image becomes clear, just like a camera focus knob.
Click on the WEB cam software, you will be able to go into an options or configuration, click on video setting, you should see an image of yourself, adjust the focus until the image is clear.
you will have to adjust the lens of your cam or do the settings with the web cam as u say it is 3 years old so it might not be with the mega pixels technology. so it is possible that the person who is watching you might not see you clearly
