Trutech 1620 Will not turn on. At first froze at hello now I only hear a weak whirling sound. It does not seem to be getting any power

sounds like you need to check your battery if it has been sitting all winter and not on a trickle charger it is weak or gone.

Starter steps

reset the power to the PC
check the connections
make sure you have the power button turned on To the Display

i get the feeling if you can hear the Fans start to turn on that this problem could be with the Display.

Hi, do you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on? if you do it could be your ballast which is the board that powers the lamp.Do you hear buzzing,whirling,winding or spinning noises? if you do it could be an issue with the color wheel which is in charge of creating the colors on your tv. Without hearing it, it is hard to tell. But, I would first be looking at the idler pulley bearing, they have been known to fail; and make noise. Remove the idler pulley, and spin it manually. If it feels rough, and makes any noise, it is bad.

What does your TV do?Red standby light is lit,but the TV doesn't turn on?Do you have the power board out?The one with the cord.If you can get the power board out,it would be alot less to ship then the whole TV.The only problem I ran into is the power cord doesn't fit out the hole in the frame.So you will either have to unsolder the power cord,or cut,and splice it back together.If you are willing to pay the shipping both ways,I will do my very best to try to fix it for you.If I can,how does $50 sound?I'm from Madison,Maine.Where are you from?Thank You very much!
