Fridge and freezer not working right

I have a G.E. side by side fridge and freezer with ice, water maker. The other day my water dispenser would not work, than the top part of my freezer and fridge are not working either. My husband changed the valve for the water dispenser and it works fine but the freezer on top is not freezing foods and teh foods on the top of the fridge are COLD. what could this be? any help will do

Remove and refix the regulator inside the fridge....

You can use a hairdryer on the frozen parts.
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge.The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp ..

Water dispenser won't work --ice dispenser is fine but no water comes of the water dispenser.

fridge set too cold ? frozen tank or water lines in fridge. set ref warmer for a couple of days

fill the ice maker with water manually, if you have ice in the bucket you know that the ice maker is working , after check the water valve if is opening , if it is replace main board

No water flow

turn the freezer side to zero fridge side will zero also . click for water it should work . just worked for me no water for 1month replaced the filter and everything.
