Try rebooting to safe mode by hitting F8 during booting. then restore your system to a date that your computer works normally. sometimes antivirus makes your system runs slow and also virus will make your system slow. if restoring doesnt work, back up your files and reformat your computer and install a fresh window. be sure to have all your drivers, windows cd and programs cd before doing this..goodluck!

  5. Then get rid of the thing you don't want to start up and run..
  6. Service tab
  7. Then get rid of the thing you don't want to start up and run..
*Becarefull on what you turn off.
**Best rule of thumb you click (#7) Hide all Microsoft Services.

This will give you the chance to delete them if you find them...

If you are not comportable with this, please to do not do it. Have it looked at by someone that is..

Hi,my laptop become so slow and its keep freezing

Head over to download.com and do a search for Ccleaner. Once you download and install it, run the cleaner and registry fixer. Registry errors are a common cause for a computer slowing down. If you are running Windows XP, a good idea would be to change the size of paging file which will increase performance.

My emachine t2482 doesnt run as fast as it did before i think its because its not reading my other hard drive it shows that its there but when i go to my computer it says error help please

Windows computers have a tendency to slow down over time due to accumulation of what we in the industry call "cruft". Each time you install a new program, even if you remove it, it will tend to leave a mess behind. Each icon you see in your system tray is another program running int he background, slowing your system down.
The best way to combat this is by regularly formatting and reinstalling Windows (at LEAST every two years). Back up all of your important files to CD, USB flash drive, or external hard disk, write down a list of what programs you have installed that you still need, then follow your manufacturer's recommended process for doing a system recovery or factory restore, which will erase the contents of the hard disk and bring the system back to the way it came from the factory. Once that's done, reinstall your software and restore your backed up files.

My laptop running slow and net browsing very slow my configeration windows7 original ,320 gb HD,3GB memorry

There are several reason for the computer to be running slow for the start please try restarting the computer to safe mode with networking (Steps given below) and check if your browsing speed is better. If your internet browsing speed not better in safe mode with networking then you need to contact your ISP to complain about slow speed.

If it is working fine in safe mode, then some of the software (example: Antivirus / Internet Security / Firewall) is slowing down your computer. Please try removing it. Also try reducing the color scheme, use a non aero theme and see if your comptuer is working fine. If so your processor is not able to take the load of windows 7 visual effects aswell as other programs running in the background at the same time

My aspire 3680-2633 is running super slow! How can I get it some speed

Hi,

There are two possible reasons for computer running slow:
1. A lot of applications are installed and the Windows is trying to load all during the startup process
2. The computer is infected with virus

Try uninstalling some softwares and also scan your computer for virus

If the issue still persists, the I would suggest a full system recovery, you can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps:
Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction.

NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.

Thanks and regards,
Jitha

My pc is slow run

TRY THIS :-
Free up disk space. A hard drive that is close to being full will drastically slow down your computer. You can clear up space by deleting temporary internet files, empty your recycle bin, remove programs that you do not use, put important files on an external hard drive.
Another way to free up disk space is to use "Disk Cleanup" on your Windows PC. To do this, click "start" and go to "Accessories", go to "System Tools", and click "Disk Cleanup".
Scan for Viruses, Adware, and Spyware. These nasty programs can slow down your computer worse than anything. I would recommend purchasing software that can remove all three of these common problems.
Don't automatically start up programs when you turn your computer on. Close any programs that you do not use that open when you start up your computer. These programs will run in the background and steal RAM (Random Access Memory).

Trying to do a factory restall of Dell demnension 2400

typically you don't need to press ctrl at all -- usually f11 does the trick -- or going into accessories and system tools and looking for factory restore or something similar, the program has different names depending on the manufacturer. System Restore will only bring it back to a previous date...

Factory resore

Hi,
Mark if you have the Acers restore or rescue disks, you should be able to use these to get your system back up and running.
I,d suggest your problem/conflict With your Application Crash is an incompatable program with vista.

The Only other suggestion i have, is to boot the computer with Vista in the CD/DVD Drive, and re-install over the top of your existing system.

Alternative is to Install Windows XP, More reliable Tried And Tested. And definately more Compatable with Software.
