TOshiba M600 i have the same problem. my webcam was working a few days ago but its not showing up today. i cant webcam with anyone. and when i try to see if it shows up on Camera Assistant Software, it says that its locked...whats that even mean?? how do i fix my webcam??

Hi, first of all check in device manager if the cam is present, if there then unplug the camers and plug it in back check if the system detects it, let me know..

Unable to detect webcam on aa Toshiba laaptop while using skype

Make sure the WEBcam driver is installed.
When the WEBcam works then the fault is with the Skype configuration. Sometimes the WEBcam settings drop off and the WEBcam need to be selected again. Open Skype - Tools - Options - Video Settings and select the installed WEBcam - Save the settings.

I want to restore sound to my toshiba portege M600.

Right click speaker icon on bottom of the laptop. Or go into START menu and search for SOUNDS. Click PLAYBACK and right click the speaker to see if it is disabled. If nothing is there try to right click and SHOW DISABLED DEVICES. You should be able to enable the sound from there. Hope it works. You could always try a SYSTEM RESTORE as well..

The DVD drive on my toshiba satellite pro L300 wont recognise discs. It was working fine up until a few days ago and i cant find the cause.

Try running a cleaning disc in your drive as the laser might just be dusty. If that doesn't help then you will most likely need to replace the drive

My webcam just stopped working.

Hi Peter I posted this for another probem I would suggest you follow these steps but as I don't know the model number of your laptop please start here but please make sure you get the correct drivers first, (uninstall the old drivers and programe first then reinstall) : )

Dead Pixel in Toshiba Porteg? M600 laptop

Without rplacing the main part of the lcd, I'm afraid you're stuck.
Nice laptop. Toshiba service has always been reasonable in my experience.
