SOURCE: Wont boot

seems contagious mine did the same thing!not sure how helpful this will be but the bios handles the starting up part and if it's corrupt then that wont happen. If you can get the bios flash that you need onto a floppy then that might help at the moment I'm waiting for a new bios chip.Did you receive any errors at all ?awdflash.exe? insert disc etc ?

SOURCE: Wont boot

I think there is a problem with the pin connection of the RAM. Remove the RAM again, then clean the pin with the contact cleaner spray then plug in again. do same thing with the CPU/processor if necessary. if you got One short beep when boot windows the problem haven't from hardware but on your system. try to run scandisk, disk cleanup, or press F8 while booting to go into "safe mode". Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back should you need additional information.

Check your MEMORY MODULES . Try removing them, cleaning them with rubbing alcohol and the reinstalling them. Re-boot. That should work, ok?

My w3611 emachine froze and will not boot up. I get three beeps if I try. I am thinking it might be the processor, onboard graphics, or the bios.

Well if it's 3 short beeps then its a RAM failure. If its 1 long and two short then it;s a video monitor issue. 3 long beeps is a keyboard or keyboard card error.

How can i fix my IBM ThinkPad T22 2647. it produce 3 simultaniuos beep sounds lcd is black out.

This is a list of ThinkPad Beep codes.
It appears you have a memory or motherboard problem, most likely a RAM problem. Try reseating the RAM modules, if this doesn't work, then remove the RAM and take them to your friendly computer repair shop to get them to test the RAM modules for you. If the RAM is faulty them replace.

Gigabyte GA-945P-S3 short beep codes on cold boot. Tried reseating RAM, didn't help. system runs fine after beeping stops

Using the manual for the Gigabyte GA-945P-S3 MB. Go to page 71 & you'll see bios beep codes for your board: AWARD BIOS Beep Codes 1 short: System boots successfully 2 short: CMOS setting error 1 long 1 short: DRAM or M/B error 1 long 2 short: Monitor or display card error 1 long 3 short: Keyboard error 1 long 9 short: BIOS ROM error Continuous long beeps: DRAM error Continuous short beeps: Power error As you can see there isn't a code for three short beeps. When you boot your system try to pause your boot up screen. See if the bios is reporting the correct total of memory in your system. Bios codes from the link below. http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm#05 3 beeps for the AMI bios code reports Base 64K RAM failure. You can test your memory. Go to memtest.org Scroll down the site to just under the three screen shots. Download Memtest86+ V2.11 You have a choice in making a bootable floppy disk or a bootable CD-ROM disk. Once completed you boot your system to the testing program. Memtest will check your system memory. This should help. Thanks for using FixYa! Mike
