HP LaserJet 2420 Printing trouble

Hi -

I have a HP LaserJet 2420 with the PCL 6 driver installed. This printer is configured for Network printing. The problem that I am having is very peculiar. The printer is correctly installed, but when I print a word file (or any file with multiple pages) two things happen:

-It prints the job, but prints the even pages first
-it then prints the odd pages upside down.

I'm thinking that this may be due to the printer not being configured correctly, or I may have a faulty or older print driver.

Any thoughts would be extremely helpful - thanks!

    I solved this myself by downloading the older print driver - PCL 5e.

    the printer accepts and prints the first job, next time you ordered another job, it prints the first job which is already printed and finished. I tried to open printer from control pannel and cancel all documents, it cancels and shows empty. But when I order new job to be printed it prints the first job.

    please help! the printer is hp laserjet 2420

    HP 3015 prints banner pages in Oracle before and after the printer job banner is turn off on the driver settings

I think that Odyssey user is right it maybe that the print driver is not compatible with the program you are using goto hp.com or hp.co.uk and download the PCL 5e driver

Why don't you delete the printer and go out to www.hp.com/#support and download the latest drivers.
Try the PCL5, less problems. and reinstall the printer.

Pcl xl error subsystem: kernel error: illegal tag operator: ox1b position: 6
If you are using Windows 2003 Server and/or Windows XP Client machine and if you hace installed PCL 6 Driver than printer will print pcl xl error while printing.

To fix this problem user need to install PCL 5 Printer driver or Universal printer Drivers from the Link mentioned.

HP 2420 keep printer wrong characters
Hello,

This could be due to corrupt file or print job irrespective to file. This can also be an issue with the network sending packets or print spooler.

However, i would suggest to upgrade the driver to UPD (universal printing driver) PCL6
