It has worked FINE for this long with the occasional drop.. lol I have a kid so it has been gotten ahold of a few times but never any problems with it! Well today I go to take pictures and when I take pictures outside the camera was white lines all through the pictures. I have tried diffirent settings.. Colors.. Zoomed in.. Zoomed out.. Diffirent picture sizes.. Diffirent modes.. But that I dont get is when I look through the screen at before taking a picture or video'n it looks perfectly fine.. But it has the white lines in the picture when I go to view it on the camera and computer... And I even took a few pictures inside the house and they have a few lines but not as bad as outside... I can send pictures if I am given a email so you can see the pictures and whats happening.. But its only when the picture is taken... When I look through the screen its fine.. just comes back with lines all throuh it! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

    Same here... :(
    Please help.....

First, all the picture become almost copletely white. Even when I use auto.
But after a few days. It become just like shaysmom.

It always looks perfectly normal in the screen, but when the picture is taken, the lines appear. In my case, the lines looks like a shaddy pattern all over the picture.

The picture still can be view but it's annoying and decrease the quality.

    Please...please.... help...

First try to do the ff:
-try to power reset
(take off battery for 1-2 mins & put battery back)
-BP tried using fresh batteries
(try to replace battereis for your camera)

If you ahd tried those options, i suppose you camera needs service now, contact samsung back, do the ff:
-go to samsungcamerausa.com
-click on customer service
on the upper right portion of website
-provide product code and e-mail address
-provide all other necessary information
in registration process
-take note of service center address
-read all shipping reminders
-send camera to service center address provided

samsung service center will do the repair for you camera or if the problem is unrepairable, they will send you replacement camera, if its still udner warranty. tried this option and now my camera is working.

HELP!

Use lithium batteries. I had a problem when our camera would turn on for a few seconds, beep 3 times, and then shut off. The best batteries, which are actually recomended for this camera is the lithium batteries. I strongly suggest them.

Where to get a Samsung s500 usb cable

I can't imagine why in the world you would want to pay an inflated price for another proprietary USB cable. I haven't plugged a camera directly into my computer for years. The last time I did, it was balanced precariously while downloading pictures and got knocked off the table. The USB cable stopped its fall, but the jack in the body of the camera was twisted in the process and completely ruined. A much better option would be to head to your local Comp USA, Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc. and purchase a 9 in 1 card reader. It's a small block of plastic with several slots that will accept a wide variety of memory card formats that have been created over the years. With this single USB device you can read/transfer data from many different devices that you may own. The reader can stay attached to your computer all the time. You simply take the media card out of your camera and plug it into the reader whenever you want to download your pictures. Simple! As an added benefit, you can now make use of that pathetic 128 meg card that came with your camera. Write all your internet accounts, passwords, and other important info to it. Then hide it in a safe place (deposit box) in case of disaster.
