Updated my ipod software and now it wont play on my home theatre system

This is always tricky with 1st generation iPod touches. After a while they can't handle the new software anymore and some functions won't work anymore. Maybe try to downgrade the software. Otherwise you should probably get a new iPod.

I want to plug in my iPod touch to the DVD player I have, it's an SA-HT930 DVD home theatre sound system. But I don't know how :( can you help me out? I need some pretty easy to follow instruction...

The manual...

http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SAHT730.PDF

Anything that has a headphone output can be adapted to feed an RCA cable pair for standard stereo to any audio device with a standard RCA input (except PHONO). Get a cable like the one described here: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021804&p_id=665&seq=1&format=2
and connect it into any available analog input EXCEPT "Phono".

I have a panasonic SA-PT550 theater system, i put a brand new dvd in it says no disc. Ive noticed that it is very dusty as its sat on the carpet under my Viera flat screen. is there a way dust can get...

If it does that with only THAT disc, maybe it's the disc.

Anywhere air goes, dust goes and the more dusty, the more contaminated an optically-dependent medium like a disc player will become.

I'd also be concerned about ventilation and overheating.

Can't get ipod to play on Panasonic SA HT-940 System

I have a panasonic home theatre and my ipod connects in the front of the system. The cable is basically a headphone cable with the same JACK at either end. In short the system is the headphone but you don't put it in your ears!!. You can pick these cables up from virtually any electrical retailer for less than the price of a pint!
