That is correct the solar panel will charge the RV battery which is connected to an inverter. This converts the DC power to AC for the AirCon.

I recently purchased a 1994 Fleetwood Flair, with a single coleman roof a/c unit...On the roof, there is a solar panel attached which is wired to the inside unit including a small red indicator light towards the rear of the inside unit.. The solar panel is severely damaged and doesn't appear to be working at all..I disconnected the wire connection from the roof to the inside ceiling unit...
What does this solar panel set up do ? Is it possible to purchase a new solar panel ...? Something is drawing down the power from my two new coach batteries prematurely when everything is shut down and rv is not being used..could this have been doing this prior to my disconnecting it ? thanks...ken C.

How do you hook up the 2 6 volt batteries from the coach and. The 12volt nattery. With a solar panel for the batteries for a 2000damon intruder?

Hi Jackie,
I think that if you search online for "Damon intruder 2000 wiring diagram" you'll get hits on the best websites to answer your query. Also, you'll probably get several images which you should be able to blow up in size.

Electrolux EI30IF40LS induction oven. It has started to beep ERR F68, but only when my solar panels are generating any voltage/current.

Did you reset the breaker to the oven when you switched over to batteries? If not turn it off wait a few mins. then turn it back this should work. Sometimes the control panel needs to reset its self.

How do i convert my 1.2kw solar inverter on my roof so i can run my home on stored energy ?

Solar panels produce DC voltage.
some solar panels have the inverter integrated into each solar panel.
I would suggest contacting a local solar panel supplier and asking them if they could add a Battery Charging System to the Solar panels you use. An then what sort of inverter to add to the bank of batteries.
An inverter converts DC voltage to AC voltage to use in the grid.
The AC voltages and DC voltages involved have the possiblity to kill if you much around with electricity.

Do solar panels need direct sunlight to work?

No. It will work in with diffused light too. Some sensitive ones will generate voltage even at moon-light.

Need solar panel monitor for coleman TSR

Wire it direct to batteries. It puts out very little amperage, so not to worry about overcharging the batteries. It's only basically a trickle charge.

Swimming pool solar heater panels freeze problem

Depending on the manufacturer, your solar panels may be replaced under warranty. Our installer says that once the panels begin leaking, they tend to deteriorate fairly rapidly. For example, three leaks the first year, 7 leaks the second year, 30 leaks the third year.

Many solar panels are warrantied against freezing, but that is not likely to be the future of the warranties, because they inevitably DO freeze and leak.

If there are just a few leaks, it is easier to fix them - a Fafco Solar panel repair kit can usually be bought from your installer for about $25.00.

If you turned the pump on to manual to circulate the water through the panels, that should prevent a freeze - but will cost you the electrical cost to run the pump.

Our experience has been that it is better NOT to drain the panels - we had many fewer leaks the years we have not drained the panels, despite occasional hard freezes in our part of California.

In addition, your rooftop installation should help radiate some heat up to the panels to keep them from freezing.

Check your warranty and get the panels replaced if there are more than a few leaks.
