The camera may not start because the battery is out.Try replacing the batteries in the camera.After that you might want to try checking the wires in the camera itself.If this does not work then I have no idea what is wrong with your camera.Hope it helped

You failed to let us know what make of camera you own. Is the battery fully charged? Do you have your memory card in? Is the lens cap off? Do you have your camera switched on? Please check your spelling... repair is what you mean. Take it to a camera shop.
Download any pics from the card using a card reader if necessary. Then, with the card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.
stop bying sony camcorders, I had same problem and its was my second
sony camcorder that failed to function properly after just one year
(just after waranty expierd) the first I took to shop to repare ****
after two weeks it was broken again, this while I diden't even realy
used it; my very first camcorder: a canon, functioned more than 6 years
and if I wanted I could still repare it **** it's analog. so go Canon,
even sanyo is better these days than a f#^îng sony
