I connect the cable from camera to computer but the computer cant detect the camera. how?

It is possible that your camera is set to store in raw mode which usually means you need software to download the images from the camera to the computer.

Connect the camcorder to the computer with the data cable for the specific camcorder.
Then you can find the computer detects the camera .
You can see the camera partition in the my computer option
Then click the camera partition and paste the videos in the camera's hard disk .

The USB cable is probibly uour problem it is maybe broken in the inside so if this is your problem try buying a new USB cable so goodluck:) and please rate my solution...

Shut down the computer.Disconnect the ide cable from hdd .Just connect using primary hdd and boot the computer. Shut down the computer. Connect the secondary hdd both IDE and power cable. Restart the system and go to bios . Check if the both hdd are detected in bios. If detected boot to desktop. If not detected reset bios settings to default.Restart computer and check. IF still not detected shutdown computer.Disconnected secondary hdd and primary hdd,connected secondary hdd to primary ide connecter and check in bios. If still not detected try connecting secondard hdd on different computer and check.

If the camera is not detected by the computer what you can try here is to try connecting the camera on a different USB port and check if it will be detected , but if still not detected if possible for you to try a different USB cable that will be better or if possible also try to connect the camera on a different computer so we can isolate the problem if its just the USB cable , the USB port or the camera itself that is bad...

Make sure the camera is on and pc is selected on the camera screen when connected to the computer. You will need to have PC highlighted and select ok on the camera as this starts the camera and computer to communicate. Once communication established the LCD screen of the camera goes dark and the computer should generate a removable disk drive.
If you do not see a removable disk drive then you need to check the device manager to make sure the camera is detected properly. If you need assistance with this then call Olympus technical support line at 888-553-4448 option 5.

Hi!

Make sure that both ends of the USB cable are properly connected to your camera and PC. After that, you should TURN ON the camera for it to be detected by the computer.

If that does not work, connect your camera to a different USB port on the computer (when using a desktop, use the USB port at the back).

First thing to do here is to try connecting the camera on a different USB port on the computer if its a tower connect the camera on the back USB port of it, if still not detected try connecting the camera on another computer and check if it will be detected , If still not detected the problem here can be with the USB cable that you're using so better try a different USB cable...
