Tv power turns on, nothing appears on the screen... no sound either. The screen will light up but, cant access menu or get anything. The power light flickers a few times b4 it kicks on... When shutting off, it takes several mintues. I have TV plugged into a nice surge protector & have not had any lightning anytime recently. Have tried unplugging tv for several hours, it didnt help. Recently added Dish Network (7 days ago) if thats a possibility? The receiver seems fine, i still have satellite in another room that runs through the 1 receiver.

If the TV displays the menu or Smart Hub when you press the button on the remote - the TV is on, it's just displaying a black screen. Change the Source on the TV to another input. See the page on Samsung TV has No Picture for more troubleshooting steps.

Depending on the TV, there will be a Jog Controller or TV Control Stick that will allow you to access the TV menu and change the source. Use the control on the TV to select an option - toggle it left or right to see if anything appears on the TV.
If the control menu appears on the screen, the TV is on but not displaying any input. Check the connections or change the input source on the TV. If the controller button works on the TV, but not the remote, check the batteries in the remote control.

Unplug the TV from the power source and leave it for a minute or two. Reconnect the power cable directly to the wall rather than a surge protector. If the TV Standby light appears - the TV is receiving power. If the Standby light still doesn't appear, please get in touch to organise a service.

Check the internet. Most likely a series of cheap capacitors. Replace them all (the ones that match the culprit). ~.20 each US.

OK if it is LCD your and have sounds but no picture you possibly have faulty inverter board that need to be replace

U can ecess the menu go to word tv,see if can get out to tv.Repaced the LCD inverter board,it may be dead.

sounds like you have lost the power supply , probably high voltage. That is what drives the tubes. Your low voltage is working because you have audio.. Proably not an in home repair. Good luck

Try it on another TV if nothing shows up then your PS3 or the video plug is broken.

You most definately have bad capacitors in the power supply. try and get it repaired as soon as possible, not an expensive repair that iv'e seen.

Check your cables and TV input settings.  Can you get to the on screen menu?  Does anything appear on the screen when the tv is on?
