If the bake ignitor comes on (starts glowing after a few seconds) - check the amperage on the bake ignitor wires when it's on. If the ignitor is a round style - amperage should be 2.5-3A, if the ignitor is rectangular - 3 - 3.6A. If less than 2.5A or 3A respectively - replace ignitor.
Ignitor part numbers for round style ones: 4342528, WB2X9154, SGR403, 5304401265;
rectangular styles: 12400035, WB13K21, WB2X9998, SGR412, NR020, 5303935066, 814269, 9753108.
Ignitors of the same shape (i.e. rectangular) are interchangeable, if you can splice the wires.

Good luck!

How do I turn the volume down or turn off the beep from my Frigidaire Gallery 5.0 cu. ft. Gas Range when the oven reaches its intended temperature?

As copied from the manual.

Setting a silent control panel
When choosing a function, a beep will be heard each time a pad is pressed. If desired, the control can be programmed for silent operation. Press and hold (start/time) . After 7 seconds, the control will beep once. This will block the controls from sounding when a pad is pressed. To return the sound, press and hold (start/time) again for 7 seconds until the control beeps once

NOTE!
The OVEN indicator light on the electronic display will turn ON and OFF when using the Bake feature and during preheat. This is normal and indicates that the oven is cycling to maintain the selected baking temperature. When the preheat indicator light turns OFF, your oven is ready.

My frigidaire professional gas oven doesn't heat to set temp. Burners and broiler work fine. Model is FPG53085kfa Any suggestions?

Hi friend, thank you for your post!
I understand that the oven will not hold temperature properly inside your Frigidaire range. I would perform a reset which can be done by unplugging the power cord or flipping the household circuit breaker for roughly ten minutes. Please comment back if that did not help correct the issue. -Matt

I need to learn how to use my oven, because i don't know how to turn it on.i need to bake,so can u tell me how?

You can get the manual for the RGB745 at the GE Appliances support site: http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/literature/ . Enter the model number in the search box. There are several models that start with RGB745.

On most of the Hotpoint ovens for regular baking, press Bake and use the + or - buttons to set the desired oven temperature. Then press Start/On. Then the oven will display Pre as it re-heats. When the thermostat indicates the desired temperature is reached, the oven will beep. The racks should be on the middle positions for most baking. (For roasting use the lowest positions.) Put the food in when the oven is done preheating. When done, press Clear/Off. Timed baked requires the clock be set correctly, then set the start and end times.

For the older ovens with dials to control the oven, set the first dial to Bake and the second to the desired temperature. Wait at least 10 minutes for the oven to preheat. Again put the oven racks in the middle of the oven for most baking.

Do not lock the oven latch and keep the oven closed through the baking cycle as much as possible. (Rotating pans and basting steps should be done quickly so that the oven doesn't cool much.)

I hope this helps.

The oven preheats, but then "cools down" before I

Most likely the problem is your bake element. When the oven is preheating it uses both the bake and the broil element. When it's done preheating it uses only the bake element, so the broil element is heating it up, and since the bake element is not working the temperature drops until it starts preheating again.

The actual temperature (as measured by repairman's device) is 20 to 30 degrees lower than indicated on the control panel. Should the control panel be replaced in a 7 year old range or should the range be...

You can adjust the bake average temp +/- 35 degrees this is called calibration.
Here's How:
To Adjust: 1. Press the BAKE pad (upper or lower oven) and enter 550° F. 2. Press and hold the BAKE pad (upper or lower oven) for several seconds until TEMP ADJ is displayed. 3. Press the AUTO SET pad - each press changes the temperature by 5° F. The control will accept changes from -35° to +35° F. 4. If the oven was previously adjusted, the change will be displayed. For example, if the oven temperature was reduced by 15° F, the display will show -15° F. 5. When you have made the adjustment, press the CANCEL pad and the time of day will reappear in the display. The oven will now bake at the adjusted temperature.
Do this first and you will be back to normal. If your using a oven temp. checker make sure you let the oven cycle for awhile. Preheat should take about around 10min. Remember 350deg is an average temp.
Have a great day!
