Screen Noise I have a WD-52525 DLP that for the last 3 years has been just great. Recently though I get screen noise after it has been on for 10 minutes or so. These fine lines appear as bars from the top-to-bottom that flash for about a second, disappear, and then reappear at the other end of the screen. Kind of like the distortion is scanning the screen, though I don't see it in the middle, only on the sides. If going from right-to-left you had numbers with 1 being far left and 5 being far right, the bars appear at 2 and 4. Very annoying to say the least. I have not lost any brightness so I don't think the lamp is going bad but I'm stumped. What's the deal?

    Service coming this week. I'll show him your answer. What is a DM and what should I expect to pay for the repair?

    Thanks

My WD-52525 started a rubbing noise coming from the back area. I figure it's the light engine. Color was off and it won't restart, has a lamp light now. Lamp is 4 months old. Sound like light engine?

This sounds like your color wheel. this will affect the colors on your screen. Do check your lamp though, at 4 months you still should have a good lamp. Unless you have a bad ballast affecting the lamp as well. If you hear a rapid clicking or an electrical buzzing type noise. "ballast"

Our Mitsubishi WD 52525 goes to blue screen and shuts off.

It sounds like you TV is overheating and the video is suffering and the lamp is overheating as well. Also, if your TV is over 2-3 years old, the mirrors (behind and below the big front screen) desperately need to be cleaned. Clean all filters and fans as well. (Look on side and behind the unit). Is the TV in a "hot" environment and/or dirty environment? DLP TV's are NOT sealed units. They need to be cleaned every few years to work well to have a good, clear, bright picture.

Buzzing noise from Mitsubishi DLP WD-52327 after replacing bulb

Did your replace lamp come on the screen or did you lose picture? Just because the LED indicator suggest replace lamp it doesn't mean it needs it. If your pix was dull or loss of brightness then replace it, if not then just reset your lamp timer, check your owners manual for instructions.

Mitsubishi WD-52825 Noise issue

Good Day, mooredriven;

If the picture looks like checker board pattern the TV may have a problem with part:
D8F00 PART # 264P828010-diode-DAN202U/MA142W
D8FO1 " " " " "
C8F26 " 141P148000 CER (B25K-1M-K)
C8F29 " " " "
OR the formatter board #930B924001, on that board there are 5 caps 1000 ufd 35v that commonly go bad.

Good Luck, big irish.
