Sony KP-53V85 53" rear projection

I have a problem with my tv, when I turn it on, little white squares are on the screen. No picture. Sometimes whole screen flashes white for a second. Buzzing sound coming from speakers. Can anyone please help.

My 57 inch Sony rear projection hd tv has blue lines in the picture , then picture gets a blue tint and has little flash and the picture goes off and the tv turns off, but the red light on the tv continues...

You have two problems: blue lines is convergence problem and the blue screen and shutdown is Blue Screen control is up too high.

The red picture tube is bad, you must replace before it cause damage to the boards.

I think its time for sony to face a claas action, they do not supply parts in less than 7 years, and the unit should not have been sold so $high, they should buy them back, that is the best solution

Looks like like you have got some burnt fuses near the D-board. What we are looking for are burnt ceramic fuses. Should cost you around 10$for 8 of them. I advice you replace all 6 and then check if its alright..

Sony Rear Projection TV - Red tube too strong

remove the front speaker assembly and the small access panel behind it and you will see a small square control assembly with 6 dials on it 3 control the color guns and 3 control the 3 gun focus. Try turning down the red control slightly they will be set up just like the CRTs red green and blue.
