The WII Fit board will only stay on, if there is a game loaded and waiting to access the board. For instance, the WII Fit game will prompt you to turn on the the WII Fit board. If you turn it on before prompted, the WII Fit board will turn itself off.

However, assuming you do not have a hard ware problem and you have already put in fresh batteries. you may have to resync the WII Fit board and the WII. Try pressing the red button on the WII Fit Board (near batteries) and the WII itself (near the SD card slot).

SOURCE: Wii fit board won't work

Hello,

Here you have different procedures on what to do if you get that error message. Please get back to me if nothing works.

The exact procedure is:

• Even if the battery level is strong, try the following:

Remove the batteries in the Wii Fit Board for at least 1 minute…… better 15

Try these steps!

1 Turn the Wii console power OFF by pressing the POWER Button on the front of the console. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for a few seconds. After a few seconds have elapsed, plug the cord back into the wall outlet.

2 Turn the power of the Wii console ON. When you see the Health and Safety screen, open the small flap on the front of the Wii console to find a red button labeled "SYNC." Press and hold the SYNC Button down for 15 seconds. This will clear all the syncs on the Wii, allowing you to get a clean start to begin the process described below.

3 After holding the SYNC Button on the Wii console down for at least 15 seconds, you can now "re-sync" your Wii Remotes:

a With the first Wii Remote you wish to sync, remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote to find a small red button just below the batteries.

b Press and release the small red button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the blue lights on the front of the Wii Remote will blink.

c Quickly press and release the red SYNC button on the inside of the white flap on the front of the Wii console (picture).

d When the Player LED blinking stops and stays lit, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).

4 Start the game from the Wii Menu, then sync the Wii Balance Board from the opening screen of the game.

Hope it helped.

How do you sync the wii console and wii fit board

Put the Wii Fit game disc in the Wii and start the game. Then open the small SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console then remove the battery cover on the bottom of the Wii Balance Board. Press and release the SYNC button on the Wii Balance Board. The light on the board should start blinking. Afterwards press and release the red SYNC button on the Wii console while the light on the board is still blinking. The light on the balance board will stop blinking and stay on steady once the syncronization is successful.

When i turn on the wii fit, the blue light just blinks for a few seconds then goes blank. new batteries are in it.

I have never had a wii fit board, but have had a wii accessory. I do know that The board needs to be synced with the wii. In the front of the wii where the sd card slots are there is a tiny red button. Press this button for 2 or 3 seconds. Then right afterward take of take off the cover for the batteries. There should be a similar button like the tiny button in the back of the Battery compartment Press this button.(make sure batteries stay in) you must do this quickly so you might want to take off the cover and locate the button before you do all of this.

I can't sync my board to my remote

You have to insert a wii fit game and bypass all the stuff until the game is ready to play.Open the battery compartment on the Wii board and open the large door on the front of the Wii console.Press the sync button on the board, then press the sync button at the top of the console compartment. The fit board light should stay steady blue.If it doesn't,try it again. When the fit board stays steady blue,it is synched.

Our Wii Fit Plus will not recognize sensor to play. Light blinks for a few seconds then goes out. We tried replacing batteries.

You need to put in the Wii fit game and bypass all the screens until it is looking for play options.Take the battery cover off of the Wii board and open the large cover on the front of the Wii console.Press the sync button inside the battery compartment on the board, then press the red sync button at the top of the open console. If the blue light stays on constant, they are synched. If not,try again.Good luck and Game On!

Wii Fit board not staying on

Best suggestion is to make sure the game is fully loaded before pressing the power button.

If it's not working, make sure you press the red sync button on the Wii Fit Balance Board AND the Wii Console.

I know you tried new batteries, but make sure they are really NEW batteries (My experience is that the alkalines work best).

If it still doesn't work, then you may need to contact Nintendo direct.

Good luck!

Wii fit balance board

Make sure that whatever game you are playing (ie: Wii Fit) is fully loaded before pressing the power button.

If the light continues to go off, you may need to re-sync your Wii Fit balance board to the console. To do this, load Wii Fit, and when the program is running, press the red button inside the battery cover. Immediately press the same type of red button inside the panel on the Wii located between the eject and reset buttons (on the face).

If these steps don't work, try fresh new alkaline batteries and repeat.

Note that there have been lots of complaints using rechargable batteries. I've had the same alkalines in my unit for 3 months now. If insistent on using rechargables, I suggest buying several of the same battery and a quick (15 minute or 1 hr) charger as opposed to ANY after-market recharging product. It will be cheaper and more reliable.

Good luck!
