Try to play dvd on other computer or laptop if dvd is playing their fine then it is problem with your dvd rom lance. also try to play other movie dvd on same dvd rom If other dvd play fine then their is problem with movie dvd.
Yes I would replace it, the laser pickup assembly is showing early signs of failure, it will often play the regular dvd movies because there is less demand on the laser tracking system. The cost to replace is cheaper than repairing the unit.
could be a ratings problem. Perform a reset by holding down your channel up and channel down buttons on the unit itself simultaneously until it shuts off. Wait a few seconds and turn it back on. Give it a try. Good Luck - Tamara
Could be an overheating issue.. Is there enough air circulation around the unit? Is it possibly dusty? try and perform minor servicing (use a can of compressed air incase if there's dust causing problems)
I couldnt get the blue ray format of kung fu panda to play in my sony blue ray dvd player. the previews and the menu screen run properly, but when i push play movie, it shuts down the dvd player. can anyone help?
