Hello, I have a Kenmore Elite built in dishwasher; Model 665.15979992 , S/N FK10107927 , Stock # 15979 which won't drain completely. I checked for obstructions on the inside of the unit as well as the drain hose and both are clear.
Any ideas or tips would be helpful as well as an indication of the age of the unit so I may determine if its worth fixing or not.

Some model 665 DW have a check valve that is attached between the sump and drain hose that may have a blockage..... Remove the drain hose from the long plastic valve then carefully unscrew the check valve from the sump. Inspect for debris.

You hit the nail on the head. That was exactly the problem. I'm afraid I had to have a repair person fix it for me but hope this tip will help others with the same problem.
The fix is surprisingly easy to execute (once you know how (of course)).

I also have a drain problem The motor will run through all cycles eccept to drain, I pulled down the long drain hose and all the water drained out just won't pump out. it will wash and everything else works great.
