can see menus, led light is solid blue, without video input can see "no video signal"
this means it can't be the lamp right?
That is correct, if the lamp was bad then you will not see a picture at all. The fact that you are getting menu means the lamp is good and most likely the processor and light engine are also okay. Check other inputs to see if you have the same problem on all the inputs.
