hi marlys, i am happy to assist , Ya its not too easy to replace battery in logitech cordless mouse,in the back of mouse, you have mouse pad just remove it , you can see they provision to remove the mouse, there been Four screws been inside that mouse pad, But before going to open your mouse just check you have new battery with you, if you connt find in any shops just go to eBay , you can get it thee, If you mansion the excate model name of your mouse mean i will send video for that particular model itself , no issue just check out this video
I have a Dell laptop computer with the Logtech cordless mouse-I went to the back of the mouse and pressed on the small indentaion under the reset word and under the picture of the battery and pressed VERY HARD for it to open the FRONT of the mouse! I hope this helped-it sounds easy but without pushing in the back bottom you'd never open it.(:-)
Most cordless mice have the batteries in bottom or under the back (palm) end of the mouse. Here is an example. Just slide the back half toward you. Most regular size mice have 2 batteries. Some mini-ones only have 1.
The battery compartment depends upon the model of your mouse. But most of the mice have a battery compartment on the bottom. You just need to slide it down and it will open. Please refer the image for further help.

hello ,on the bottom of your mouse there is a cover that you remove thats were the 2 aa batteries go. the cover has the wireless info on it you'll see a spot were you can use your finger nail to pop the cover off then after installing your batteries just pop it back on.
On a lot of Logitech mice there is a button under where the little receiver stores.It has a picture of a battery on it. Push the button and the back will lift off.
The battery holder is on the top of the mouse directly under the palm of your hand. simply push the surface away from the mouse buttons and it should pop open.
Take hold of the bottom of the mouse with your left hand. Grab the top, where your palm would normally rest and slide the back half of the mouse toward you. Presto!!
