Stopped working. Will not come on at all despite

Can you say how it stopped working, please? Does 'it would not start' mean absolutely nothing happens or what, please?

suspect the last technician is pulling a fast one
if the board was missing , it would not be working from day one

Do the motors feel warm-- maybe even HOT?-- Like they have electric current, but the bearings might be seizing up?
You mentioned one stopped spinning awhile ago--- and the other one was OK-

It sounds like the bearings are dry and worn on the fans-- (How old is the humidifier?)

The bearings CAN be cleaned up and lubricated, if you are into tearing a motor apart, and servicing the bearings-- Are you ready for that? You will have to remove the motors from their mounting, remove the fans, split the end bells, and clean and lubricate the bearings deep inside.

Can you turn off the water flow with the humidistat is set to off?

If your humidifier is working properly, then the problem lies outside of the humidifier. For example how long does your furnance run when the thermostat calls for heat? If your furnace is oversized for your home, it will heat your home relatively quickly, and turn off, while your humidifier does not have a chance to work long enough for it to increase the humidity. If this is the case, you could try to set the thermostat to run the fan in manual mode instead of automatic. This will give the humidifier a chance to increase the humidity.

The outdoor thermostat senses the the temp of the outside air, and adjust the boiler water temp according to what it knows is best. The reason that the boiler is running longer is the old boiler used to be constantly sending 180ish degree water to the baseboard, now that water may only be 140ish degrees. The idea behind this is to reduce off cycle heat loss, as the greater the temp difference between the air temp and water temp, the quicker you loss heat. The theory in boiler run time is this, the less times it starts and stops, and the long run times will give you the best efficiency. Hope this answers you questions.

Make shure the 24 volts is hooked up to power that is only powered up when the blower is running. Some furnaces have a HUM terrminal on control (make shure the HUM is 24 volts some are 120 volts then you must use the transformer supplied with the AP 600). You can use a RP # 50 relay that senses current only when the furnace motor is running on the heating speed. Hope this helps
