Driver installed as Spanish and I need English! I have re-installed HP DesignJet 120NR software as my hard disk crashed. Now the software properties for selecting paper etc is in Spanish. I have unistalled and reinstalled selecting english but it still comes up as spanish options. All other printer drivers are working ok and in english! Can anyone help? mark

microsoft word may be the best printing program but if you go for open source software check out open office both are equal in best if you need the manual or user guide for your printer follow the link http://office.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/hewlettpackard_1/120_series.html
you can download user guide manual by click on the " GET THE MANUAL BUTTON " FILE SIZE IS ONLY 160 KB THATS ALL...

These things make a lot of hummng noise with the fan.
Nothing is going to work if you can't get the fan (eg power) working.

The tool symbol means it needs maintenance.

Unless the paper is feeding and you get power to it, it seems like you have an expensive problem to fix - especially as the new ones are likely to be the same cost as fixing a really broken one.

Software for mac and pc is available from HP.

I haven't made it thet far. I cannot find a driver for PC.

Uninstall and reinstall the driver/software.

Either look through the Spanish results and see if you can find a word that looks like language ( the Spanish word is very close to the English word ) or uninstall the program and try again paying close attention not to skip through anything. It may be in a not-so-obvious place. I hope this is a help. If not, I'm very sorry!

You need to install again the printer software.

If you have the disk, install it from disk, and when it ask language, select English.

If you do not have the disk, post a new request, asking 'I need software download ', and tell make and model of the printer.

How To:
Uninstall a Spanish or Portuguese driver and install the English version when Windows XP installs the incorrect language, where either a couple of the tabs are in the wrong language, or everything is incorrect.


Action:

IMPORTANT NOTE: THE PRINTER MUST BE TURNED OFF DURING THIS PROCEDURE OTHERWISE WINDOWS WILL AUTOMATICALLY INSTALL THE SPANISH OR PORTUGUESE DRIVER AGAIN. DO NOT USE PLUG 'N PLAY FOR DRIVER INSTALLATION.

1. Delete the Driver Icon from the Printers and Faxes Window.

IMPORTANT STEP:
2. Reboot the PC

3. Click on File --> Print Server Properties


5. Click on the Drivers Tab.

6. Highlight the driver being deleted (C5200n shown as a reference below), and click on Remove.


IMPORTANT STEP:
7. Reboot the PC

8. Go back into the Server Properties Drivers Tab (as shown above), and click on the Add... button.

9. On the first screen click on Next.

10. On the Printer Driver Selection Screen, click on Have Disk.



11. Browse to the location of the English driver that is to be installed and click on OK (Note, the C5200n printer is being used as a reference and the driver being installed is from the CD).



12. On the next screen the printer being installed should be highlighted, and click on Next.



13. The next window Will show the version of the driver being installed, DO NOT click on any of the unchecked boxes and just click on Next.



14. Click Finish on the last window.

15. Finally, turn on the printer. Windows XP will automatically find the printer and install the English version of the driver.
