I damaged the Driver CD that comes with the Gigaware 6ft USB to 9-pin serial port cable and I am trying to find the replacement software. Radio Shack says they cannot help me. Do I even need the software with Windows XP? IF I do, do you know where I could dpwnload it? Thanks.

The Dynex adapter does not have any numbers on it. It was the one that is only about a foot in length and has a square center piece that houses the conversion electronics. Standard 9 pin RS-232 male plug on one end and the standard USB plug on the other end. I purchased it within the last month at BestBuy here in Austin TX.

Try disconnecting the Mouse Receiver from the
USB port and reinstall the CD software program. When
the program asks you to connect the MouseReceiver to the USB
port, do so and it should work.
Hope this helps. Bud
No need for disc, don't worry.
