Assuming you did not tamper with the system (mod it to play burntgames) then that is usually caused by the BlueTooth module not working.

If it's under warranty then send it back to Nintendo. They are very quick and very good.

If it's not, you could try replacing the Bluetooth module yourself. Iget mine from http://parts.consolerepairguy.com for about $22. I fixconsoles so I know that is usually the cause.

Good luck!

Just got a new wii and it was working fine but now the controller has stopped working and the wii wont connect to the tv???? Can you help????

Hello!

First: Check to see if the batteries are good, easiest way to do this is try putting different batteries in that you know are good.

Second: If your batteries are not the problem, then first, open the memory card door (little door on the front of the console under the CD slot) and press the red button(or known as the sync button) and open the battery case and press the little red button(or known as the sync button) and it should reconnect.

Third: If the Wii is showing that your Wii Mote is connected but it isn't responding, make sure your Sensor bar is in a clearly visible location in front of or on top of the TV. Make sure that it is properly plugged into the Wii in back.

Fourth: If none of these resolved the issue it is likely that your Wii Mote is just flat out broken. If you just purchased your Wii I suggest contacting Nintendo to RMA (return) the Wii Mote for a new one.

Syncing your Wii-mote to your Nintendo Wii

So you just bought a new Nintendo Wii Remote Controller but when you click the power button the four blue lights at the bottom just blink huh? Well that just means your Remote needs to be synchronized to your Wii.

Here are simple step by step instructions to do so.

1) Turn on your Nintendo Wii.
2) Open the door on the front of your Wii covering the SD card slot and the SYNC button.

3) Open the battery compartment on the back of your Wii-Remote Controller.

4) Press the red SYNC button on your Wii.
5) Press the little red SYNC button on your Wii-Mote.
6) Wait until a solid blue LED light comes on on one of the four lights at the bottom.
7) If it doesn't work the first time, try again.
Your Wii-Mote should now be synchronized.

Wii remotes are not responding to anything. batteries have been changed and lights are flashing but

You need to synchronize them to your Wii. First turn on your Wii. Open the battery compartment on the back of your Wii-mote and the front SD Card door on the front of your Wii. There is a little round red SYNC button on the back of your Wii-mote and a red SYNC button on your Wii in that door. Press the button on the remote and then on the Wii and it should sync. If it doesn't work at first try again. You know it is synched when one of the four LED lights at the bottom of the Wii-mote is solid.

Wii remotes dont do anything just get the four lights flashing?

You need to sync your Wii-motes to the system. Open the battery compartment on the backs of your remotes and the SD slot on the front of your Wii. Press the red SYNC button on the Wii console first and then on the Wii-motes. The remotes should syncronize to your system and work fine.

Got the new wii sytem..came with 2 remotes. One works fine the other doesn't work. I put 2 sets of new batteries..nothing..put it in the dual charger only one works.. please help I have 2 kids and they're...

The Wii-mote probably just needs to be synchronized to your Wii. Open the battery compartment on the backs of your remotes and the front SD card slot on your Wii. Push the red SYNC button on the Wii and then the little red button on your Wii-motes (both of them) and they should sync to your console.

Wii remote

did you try re-syncing it... i thiknk there is a button on the back of the wii-mote, benoeath the battery cover.. a little red button... that sync's it to your wii... try that and try taking out the battery for a few seconds.

try reconnecting your wii sensor bar to the wii...

i don't think you can overcharge it.. my girlfriends cousin leaves it on the charger 24-7 and it works fine.

Controllers wont sync

If you have pressed the sync button on wii, then on the wii-mote, and it still didn't sync, try unplugging the Wii console for few minutes and try the process again.
There is another syncing mode, but you have to have at least one wii-mote connected to the wii. You press the home button and the click on the wii-mote on the screen. There will be a reconnect button. Press that and then press both the 1 and 2 buttons on the wii-mote[s] you want to connect. This is the ONE TIME ONLY connect mode, used when playin on a friends Wii. Once the Wii is powered off, the wii-mote wont be connected any longer and will still be the default wii-mote for your wii system [not on your friends]. Hope this helps.

How to reprogram on my wii-mote??

Do you know where the SD Card slot is? If not, it's at the front just below the disc drive. Open the SD card slot entrance on the front, and take the back off the wii-mote. Turn the wii on, and at the health warning, hold the sync button on the wii-mote, and the one near the SD slot for 5 secconds. That should do it.
