I just got a new computer and i threw away my installation cd for my kodak easyshare m340 digital camera, after i had installed it onto my old computer. Well now i need to upload my pictures onto this computer, but i have no installation cd. I went to their website and downloaded the kodak easyshare thing, but it still will not take my pictures onto the computer. I have windows vista. Is there any way that i can fix this without having to buy a new installation cd?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Maybe, the batteries need to be changed to new ones.
Try to use Li ion batteries as recommended by Kodak.

Make sure your batteries are charged up, or new ones are installed. This is a very common problem.

i just installed my old kodak easyshare disc onto my new computer but when i am in the installation process it coimes up with the error code 11-84-32 ande it says that it cannot complete the installation. whats wrong?

Your camera has a speaker and microphone.

When recording please make sure you're not covering the microphone.

If the sound is playing on the camera and on other devices.
I suspect it might be your speakers on the computer.

When you plug-in the camera, the missing icon may be in the [My Computer] list.
Open [My Computer]
The memory card in the camera may be listed as
"Removeable Drive" - Probably "Drive E:"

I had the same problem after a day at the beach. What I did was get a can of compressed air (from the computer section) and blow air around the lens as I repeatedly turned it on. It took about five cycles, but I eventually cleared whatever was preventing the lens from fully opening.
