Tfx25ppbb. Water leaks into bottom of freezer when refilling ice tray in automatic ice maker. Ice still gets made but water leaks to the bottom of freezer. When enough freezes, it leaks out the door

It's probably not the ice-maker. It has a plugged drain. This is located in the back wall of the freezer near the bottom. remove the evaporator cover...(the back wall of the freezer). Below the coils is a trough with a hole in it where the defrost water drains. This is probably frozen over.
Pour some hot water in to trough until you see drain hole. Keep pouring until water runs thru drain. May have to shut down ref to get it to defrost.

My does my g&e profile leaks water?

I am assuming that this is a refrigerator. If it is leaking and you do not have an ice maker installed, then the problem is probably the drain hose from the freezer is blocked. All refrigerator freezers go through a defrost cycle to keep frost from forming in the freezer section. Every time you open the freezer door to access the freezer, moisture from the air is allowed in. The freezer from time to time shuts down and allows the ice crystels which were formed by the moisture to melt. This water then is drained through a drain hose down the back of the refrigerator to a pan under the coil at the bottom of the refrigerator. The heat from the coil evaporates the water into the kitchen air before it overflows. Check the hose and drain to be sure there are no kinks in the line and that it is not blocked. That should solve your problem.

Ge bottom freezer not freezing

Check to see that the evaporator is not covered with layer of ice. The latter serves as an insulator and prevents freezer temps from going down to about zero degrees. If the defrost heater/timer is defective that will certainly be a cause. Since the freezer air is not cold enough to freeze, then the refrigerator temps are also high. Using a digital thermometer will confirm this.

Leaking door gaskets can also be responsible for higher internal temps

Water is leaking inside the rerigerator from the bottom back of the ice maker. The back wall and floor panel of the ice maker is covered in ice. This is the second time that is as occurred within less...

The drain in the freezer behind back lower panel
needs opening. You can see it at the bottom of the back panel
underneath the evaporator coils. (The cold coils)
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
When the defrost melts the water it goes down the drain
If the drain is clogged with Ice or ? The defrost water
overflows into the ref. or freezer or on floor
Run Hot water in the drain until it clears or use a hairdryer.
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

Ice maker just stopped making ice. had no problem up to a complete stop

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

First off make sure the water in door still works. If it does not work suspect the door / light switch.
Next make sure the freezer temp is below 16 Deg F. The ice maker has a thermostat that starts the ice harvest / fill cycle and if the freezer is warming up because of automatic defrosting problems (Ice build up on the evaporator coils) the ice maker will never cycle. If you note an ice build up in the back of the freezer compartment or poor air flow from the evaporator fan you have an automatic defrosting problem. If the fan is not running at full speed the bearings or windings on the evaporator fan are failing and there is not enough air flow to get the freezer to @ or Below 16 F.

Check to make sure the evaporator fan in the freezer and the condenser fan in the rear bottom of the unit are running un-obstructed. (clean as necessary.... but if the front of the cabinet is hot to the touch then the condenser coils my be clogged with lint or... the condenser fan is not running full speed.

The ice maker may be cycling but it may not be filling with water. If it is cycling but your not getting any water.... at all the prime suspect is the solenoid on the inlet water valve. The water valve is not repairable.

Make sure that the rubber fill tube on the back of ice maker is not blocked with ice... squeeze the end of the tube. If it is frozen with ice... the inlet water valve is bypassing water off cycle and causing the tube to freeze up. The only remedy for this is to replace the inlet water valve.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

We have side by side Kenmore and on freezer side we are getting prozen water under the slide out drawers on the bottom on interior. We have cleaned it out and it refreezes and when we turned off water to...

Your drain line is frozen and not allowing the defrost water to drain to the pan below. The drain hole is at the bottom of the evaporator coil in the freezer behind the metal rear panel. You may need to remove the panel to access it. You can use hot water to thaw it out and you should be in good shape.

Leaking water under frig and ice-maker is not hooked up?

The problem you are experiencing is normally a blocked evaporator drain line. Whether you have a side by side model or a top mount freezer the solution is relatively the same. Most top mount freezer models have a rear evaporator panel covering the aluminum evaporator coils. There are some instances where the evaporator coils are on the floor. These instructions are for top mount freezers where the rear freezer panel covers the evaporator coils. First of all, if there is an ice maker in your unit, this will have to be removed. Normally there are two screws which can be loosened and the body of the ice maker can be lifted off the screws leaving only a plug in harness to disconnect. Remove the harness either from the plug at the left wall or rear of the freezer and set it to the side. Next, remove all the screws securing the rear panel. Remove the rear panel exposing the aluminum evaporator coils. Be careful not to damage these coils as they contain the freon that cools your refrigerator. If you look closely underneath these coils, there will be ice from frozen defrosted water. Using a hair dryer and not a heat gun, melt all the ice and sop up the water with a towel. Now you will see a drain hole which is normally still blocked with ice. Pour hot water in this hole and sop it up. Keep doing this until you pour water down the hole and it drains into the evaporator drain pan either under or behind your refrigerator. Once you have unblocked this drain line, reassemble and plug the refrigerator back in. Set all controls to the middle settings and within 24 hours, your unit will be functioning correctly once again. Water leaking out freezer door--unit is still making ice

There is a shroud at the back of the freeezer. (Mine was a GE) but under the shroud is the evaporator coils and also a heating element to defrost the coils during the defrost cycles. Mine had the gutter underneath misaligned and the water went into the freezer and froze instead of going down the drain. I thought it was a ice maker leak until we found that. The weird thing is we had the refrigerator for about 6 years before it started leaking like that.

It has worked fine for about a year since that "fix"

Ice build up in bottom of freezer

Check the ice maker. sometimes they get cracked a will leak water into the freezer compartment. Also check the ice maker fill tube for leaks or someone could have spilled something. Although this is tipical of a clogged drain. What happens is when the fridge go into derfost, it will melt all the frost that is on the evaporator, turning it into water. The water drains down to a trough under the evaporator and down a drain hole in the trough ( this trough is behind the evaporator cover ) Removing the melted frost from the freezer. If that drain is clogged, the water cannot leave the freezer. Then when the fridge starts back up ,it will freez the water that was not drained. After repeated defrosting the water will fill this trough and run off into the bottom of the freezer to be frozzen when the fridge starts to cool again.
