If your phone will accept a Micro SD Card...(you can check if your phone accepts them by looking under the battery door and see if there is a slot for the card) then you can purchase one and Move the Pictures from your phone to the SD Card and then open them on your computer Picture Program. This card will also let you store Ring Tones, MP3's or Pictures to it as well.

EUREKA got the solution to my own problems! through browsing on the forums in here and experimenting on the softwares. we had the same problem and YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY A SINGLE DIME! disappointingly, motorola didn't really included any disk with the phone so we can use it when we want to connect our phones to the pc. Not a very consumer-friendly move they have there!

download the MOTO RAZR V3 usb driver software (or your specific mobile phone model) from
mine is from this link:

then download your MPT or mobile phone tools software online, search through yahoo and google in quotes. i'm sorry if i haven't remember which site was it from.

plug in your phone through the usb cable (any brand of cable, no need to buy the motorola a/b usb cable). the PC will pop the message "found new hardware" you browse the folder where you have saved your usb driver software you've just downloaded. then click next. woohoo!

afterwhich, as the PC have recognized the device. open your MPT software that you should have also installed on your PC after downloading them. the software will react to configure it to your device, if this part fails, click on (on the phone model thingy that should appear on your computer screen) MENU>SETUP>NEW PHONE then follow the instructions, it should automatically initialize your phone.

try they have cool and free downloads there too! enjoy!
please feel free to add me up or send me a msg/comment in this one so we can help each other out.

all the best! must pimp my phone ryt now! woohoo!

Hi happy new year do you still have disk that came with the phone if not then you will need to try and find the correct software for that phone also when you plug the canon lead in does the computer pick up their is the phone their or not.
The only chance you have is plug the phone in via the canon lead then goto control panel on your computer then select add new hardware then let the computer scan for hardware it will ask you if you have disk or not tell it you dont then when its finished scanning look down the list and see if your phone is listed.
If it is select it then let the computer search for the relevant software if you are lucky enough the comp should pick up the phone via the cannon cable they should be the same.
Failin this the only other way is buy a bluetooth adaptor for your comp these can be brought for next to nothing and then bluetooth pictures to your comp.
Unless you can get the original disk this is your only options let me know how you get on ok

No not at all. All phones, all cameras come with a limited amount of memory to allow you to take a few pictures. Did you buy this used? If so toto view all pictures/view pictures and delete a few to free up memory. This way you can be certain it's not the camera that's defective. If it works then of course you'll need a memory card so you don't have to keep running to your computer to upload your shots to free up memory.hope this helps

Having gone over a month without a response to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader solved the problem.

most modern phones come with software for your computer to make tasks like this simple. If you dont have this, you could try some of these other methods. if your phone has bluetooth and your computer does, you could try that. some phones have a seperate memory card that stores pics and movies, an appropriate card reader in your computer would be able to read them.alternatively if your phone has email function, you could email them to yourzself.

Video compatiablity problems

Do not try to use the same card from another camera. You run the risk of losing all your pics and possibly corrupting the card and the camera. Download any pics from the card to the computer using a separate card reader if necessary. Then, if you want to use the card in your new camera, format it in the camera first.

Memory card formatting

Unfortunately, there is no way to format your card without losing any saved pictures. Sometimes, if you insert your card into other cameras or printing kiosks at walgreens or target, it will work. it's a long shot though. Chances are, you may have to lose your saved pictures :(
