It may be the screen on it,s way out or the settings have changed just like a television you may have to go into the bios and see if it has been changed in any way,,,

Hi,
What do you mean by "both sides"?
Did only one side work before?
Please advise; I'm quite curious
Thanks

Black bars on my you tube screen on windows 7

That is completely normal. Most Youtube Videos are posted in a 4:3 Letterbox Format. If it was filmed or uploaded in a 16:9 Widescreen format you would not see those bars. Try this HD Widescreen Format video link and let me know if the bars are gone: http://youtu.be/yZgcjOJnk0k

My screen has gone completely white and yet still

hello,

the screen has gone completely white because there is a problem from the connection linking the screen to the board.

try to adjust the screen to the end and see what will happen.

if it does the same, that means you have to fix the flex of the laptop.

the flex is the part that links the board to the screen.

take care

The screen has just gone black. Like there is no

I think your having the same problem i have, i would like you to try something go find a monitor and plug it in hit the key combination that puts it on the monitor if it appears on the monitor like normal then your screen is broken but if the monitor goes black and your computer screen goes back to normal then your graphics chip is messed up but don't worry just reboot it if it is messed up, that should fix it.

Right half of screen is Black with a White vertical stripe

Yeah, I have this exact same problem, except my mom slammed my laptop shut in frustration around half an hour ago, so that's why it's like this. The right half of my screen is black with two colorful stripes (mostly white), but the left half is visible. I've researched a bit and found out that this is because the LCD in your monitor has burnt out, and since you don't have a monitor to attach, the only thing you can do is to go to where you bought the laptop and either get it fixed for free or return it for a brand new one (if your warranty still stands). If not, you might as well get a new laptop. I think my warranty has expired, so I'll get a new laptop, hopefully.

Hope this helps!

Laptop won't start up

It sounds like your laptop is using it's external VGA adapter for its main display. Try holding down the Function (FN) on your keyboard located on the bottom left hand side and pressing F4 at the same time.

Screen is complete blackout when I turn on my hp compaq c6000

You either have a screen that has gone and needs to be replaced or a cheaper fix and usually a more likely one is that the inverter in the screen has gone out. The inverter is quite cheap, around $34.00. Try it

Dell inspiron laptop screen issue

Hi,

First, are you sure you have the correct power supply?

Also, the lcd inverter could be going bad, consequently needing more power than it can get off the battery.

Hope this helps,

Good luck
