Well 1st unplug it then you can start by qtip cleaning, blowing internal maintenance service. But for the most part regardless of use or age whenever there is gears, bands moving parts which in time get worn, Now this is were keeping clean extends life, So time to shop for a new 1 because repairs and part availablity exceeds the value,of your problem

replace lazer ever 2000 hours the display may have a dry joint on the 18 volt input ps the lazers are all the same in all the nsx moduls

I have a nsx-a508 unit,the 2nd tape deck got stuck i was able to open it but now neither deck plays and the cd player did work when this happened originally but does not work now ,the lights all come...

I think I can help you with the tape part, but as for the CD, that's a whole different story.

First, you should reset the unit by holding down the stop button (clear), and then pressing the power button. Everything stored in memory after purchase is cleared, including the radio stations, clock, etc.

Check if deck 1 is now playing.

I had a similar problem with my AIWA NSX-AJ310, and after some digging up, I realised that the belts were busted. They're not hard to replace though, unless you don't trust yourself to replace them. If you don't, let a qualified technician see about that for you.

The CD player in my system has retired also, so, we're in the same boat as with regard to that issue!!

I have AIWA NSX-880 purchased in '99. During transportation it had got damaged. The CD part got damaged, the circuit got cracked. Recently gave it for repair, but I was told the CD tray cannot be repared....

The .ph is an abbreviation for the Phillipines. This is done in most, if not all, foreign countries. For example in the United Kingdom you would get an email address of yahoo.com.uk. Hope this helps.

By the way, I sent a test email using just .yahoo.com to see if it still goes through. if it does, you can use just yahoo.com without any problems. Yahoo will continue to use .ph for accounts in the Phillipines.

I can't activate the CD Player on the Aiwa NSX-2700

Either the glass laser eye lens needs to be cleaned with rubbing alcohol and cotton swab, or the laser lens unit itself is faulty. You may be able to get one from ebay, newegg.com, amazon.com or etech.com
