I have a Tevion TLCDD1937 THE DVD WILL NOT EJECT AFTER PRESSING OPEN

There could be a few reasons why your Tevion TLCDD1937 DVD player is not ejecting the disc when you press the open button. Some possible causes include a malfunctioning eject button, a problem with the internal mechanism that opens the disc tray, or a software issue.
Try unplugging the device from power and wait few minutes then plug it back in, this may resolve the problem. If the disc is still stuck, try gently pushing it back into the tray and then pressing the eject button again. If the disc still does not eject, you may need to consult the manufacturer for further troubleshooting or consider taking the device to a professional for repair.

WILL NOT EJECT DISC

What is the model number of your DVD player? You may try power resetting the unit and check if it helps. To power reset, turn OFF the DVD player and unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and turn the player ON. Attempt to open the disc tray.

Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons. If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.
NOTE: This step may not apply to all models as DISC1 is not available on all DVD players.

If this does not work and if the DVD player has DISPLAY and PREV buttons, press and hold the DISPLAY+PREV buttons for two seconds to unlock the drawer.

Hi, the dvd on my recorder stayes ejected? It will close but then will eject straight away? What can I do? Cheers.

Hello,

The fault is not from the disc, it is from the player.

The disc tray is actually malfunctioning. Which is as a result of a fault on the mechanism that is controlling the opening and closing of the disc tray.

Another fault might be that the button that controls the disc tray might be stuck.

test if it is the button.
  1. Unplug the player from the power source,
  2. plug it back,
  3. turn it on,
if it opens without you pressing the open button, then the fault is from the button.

check it for any irregularity.

  1. get the appropriate screwdriver,
  2. open the cover of the player,
  3. carefully force the front control panel open from the sides,
  4. then check for any damages,
  5. change the open button and it will be okay again.
test if it is the disc tray
press the open button, if it opens closes continuously.
then there is a problem with the mechanism that controls the open and close of the disc tray.

to fix this,

  1. Get the appropriate screwdriver,
  2. open the back cover of the player,
  3. look to the left side of the player and you will see a mechanism that controls the tray,
  4. change the mechanism with a new one.
after doing that, the player will be in good condition again.

take care

I can't eject a dvd from my mac pro desktop

Try these tips.....usually holding down the touchpad buttton while tapping the eject button during bootup works.

picexporterror Shut down the computer and start up whilst holding down the mouse button. This may take some time, but keep your finger on the mouse button right up until the disc comes out or the log-in screen has appeared.
picexporterror If you have Toast Titanium installed on your computer, choose EJECT DISC from the menubar.
picexporterror Sometimes you can successfully use the eject disc button in iTunes even if the disc is not visible to the Finder
picexporterror Open Disk Utility and choose the disc you wish to eject in the left-hand pane, then click on the Eject button.
picexporterror Some Macintoshes have a paperclip hole that you can insert a straightened paperclip into, manually triggering the eject mechanism.
picexporterror Open Terminal and type "drutil tray eject" to eject the disc/tray, and "drutil tray close" to close the tray.
picexporterror Restart the computer while holding down Command-Option-O-F, to enter the Open Firmware prompt. Type "eject cd" without the quotes, and press return. The disk ought to eject. CD Stuck in Device
First try the normal methods to remove the disc. Drag its icon to the Trash can in the Dock or select 'Eject' from the File menu.
