I have a Coby MP3 player MP610-4G SN 024090076167 that freezes up - approx 4-5 times per hour - I've used the reset button on the back and the problem still persists - what else can I do?

I don't know that this will solve your particular problem but I just answered another similar Coby issue less than an hour ago, so I'm going to copy my recommendation here.

It sounds like the Coby operating system is corrupted.

I'm going to recommend you try the following procedure with one catch; I'm assuming you can turn the unit on and at least get a menu. If not this procedure isn't going to work.

NOTE: The following procedure will erase everything on your Coby so be aware!

Essentially, we're going to reformat the unit using Coby's own format routine.

1. Power Unit On
2. Scroll through your main menu going to your right. From "Music" ---> to "Settings"
3. Under "Settings" you will have another menu. Look at the bottom choice called "Sys Tools"
4. Select "Sys Tools" and you will have a series of options, choose the second option "Format"
5. Select "Format" and follow the prompts
6. Wait for the routine to complete
7. Power unit down
8. Power unit back up and reconnect to PC
9. Use Windows Explorer or My Computer to see if the unit is recognized, and it should be at this point.
10. You should be set

For some reason, the operating system for the Coby gets corrupted and this is the only way I know to fix it short of sending the unit in for repair, which isn't an option really. (Cheaper to buy a new one)

Hope this helps you or anyone else that has unexplainable problems connecting to the Coby MP-610 / MP-620.

I can't turn off my coby mpc7085 mp3 player! fix it

I work for Coby technical support. Our customer service phone number is 1-800-727-3592.

Unfortunately, if the button is stuck it can't be fixed. The unit has a 90 day warranty from the date of purchase. You will need the receipt in order to receive a warranty replacement.

If you feel this solution doesn't deserve a good rating, please let me know why so that I may better assist you. If there is anything more I can do to help, I will!

Ok i bought a coby mp4 player and it just wont turn on for someapperent reasonand its a mp605-4g

Sometimes the factory accidently catched the hold button , try to turn this off first and then fully charge the unit or while attached to the computer scroll throught the menu to see what your settings are. In the end you may have to return it as there may be something wrong with it. Hope this helps.

Songs won't play, error 4

Just talked to Coby and they say there is no fix, and that the it is really Error 41. Resetting or formatting the unit are the only fix actions they advise customers to try, so if that does not fix your problem your stuck mailing your unit back to them. If it has been less than 90 days, they will only request you send them $6, otherwise it is $31 for a replacement. Get what you pay for I guess. This will be my second return on my son's xmas gift.

No Instructions!

Hold the play button down for 5 long seconds then release and wait , red light should come on. then hit play again to play. hold forward button for volume click same button to advance song.
