The fault is something related with its interface board between panel and its drive. In most cases, it will be irrepairable. Anyway, contact the authorized service center for Dell.
Could you please specify
what type of screen this is? Or any other information that could help identify
what type of screen it is?
A thin
vertical line in a screen could be a faulty cable, faulty graphics card or even
that the screen is faulty itself. But with more information on the screen the
problem would become clearer.
Unfortunately the LCD is going faulty.. one or more of the "Driver" transistors that operates the LCD elements RGB, have faulted ON.. perhaps this link may help fix it. Otherwise :(

I would suspect a connection breaking down as the set heats up. A shop will probably have to put the set in a stand to hold it while they check for loose connections or defective components inside. Not a DIY job by any means. If this line went completely through the picture either vertically or horizontally and stayed there then this would have indicated a failure in the Panel itself. A thin Line any where on the screen consisting of one pixel in width is a Panel Failure according to Hitachi.
