Question about Dell Wireless 2350 Router
Is there a method to change the MTU setting with the 2350 ? I have looked in settings and do not see where this can be done. XBox 360 will not work while hooked up with this router because of MTU setting.
Ive got ur solution right here guys...
go to start - run - type in "regedit" (without parenthises)
paste this in and search
if it searches and wont find it then youll have to go folder to folder manually its not hard.
then inside of the interfaces ,
youll see a bunch of giberish numbers and letters. theres are your routers/modems/etc.
just click on each of them until you see in the right colum theres a MTU value, under the Name tab
(note some people have more then 1 MTU value so youll try to have to mess with stuff to find out which one is ur router)
So we finally found our MTU.
right click it and click the decimal button.
then type what u need it to be ^_^ hope this helps..
this was all on a Windows XP idk if it works with all comps.
and once u change the value.
restart ur comp to make the effects take place

If you switched to comcast, the best thing to do would be buy a gaming router, the cheapest of high quality run at a hefty 90 dollars. Through reading reviews however it seems that the D-Link Broadband Gigabit Gaming Router is the cheapest and most cost efficient investment. I've tried everything I could find through forums, support, and calling to foreign countries for minimal advice. For some reason comcast has issues with router connections and the MTU... My suggestion is simply to buy a new router. It's the fastest and most pleasant way of gaming on XBox.

The MTU of your router or gateway must be greater than or equal to 1365. If it is less than 1365, you won’t be able to connect to Xbox Live.
