The door being open so long caused warm moist air to collect and freeze inside the unit.
Take everything out, unplug it and let it thaw out for an entire day. All the frost will thaw, and probably run water all over the place so put towels down.
there is a fan that brings the cool air from the freezer to the fridge. make sure thatit is working and that the vents for it are not blocked or frozen
Could be a bad fan motor. A bad defrost part or a bad control board. Check for ice buildup on the back wall of the freezer. If so you have bad defrost parts or a bad control board. Enter your model number at www.appliancepartspros.com to find the exploded view to dis-assemble the freezer. You can also order parts from them.
look for a small hole on one side of the handle. There should be a set screw there you can tighten. (the handle attaches to a ball shaped peg under the handle, and does not attach from the inside of the door)
mINE IS DOING EXACTLY THE SAME - I'VE HAD IT ABOUT 2 WEEKS BUT ONLY STARTED MAKING THIS SOUND TODAY AND AS YOU SAY ONLY WHEN THE FRIDGE DOOR IS OPENED AND THEN SHUT!
Hello,
In a word, Yes. It is totally normal, when you close a door it pushes air into the unit and depending on how it is closed the other door will "pop" open slightly from the "push" of air.
Thanks for coming to fixya.
macmarkus :)
If it seems to be coming from underneath the unit it could be the compressor.

That's usually mounts inside thecompressor. Usually when the compressor cuts off. It could still last awhile so if you can put up with thenoisejust wait for it to quit
before replacing thecompressoror getting a new
fridge. Any other noise would be from a fan. One in the freezer behind the back panel and one under the unit where the compressor is.
Unplug and closely examine the area for a loose fan blade or anything that may be causing the noise. Better now than to get damage that could be prevented. Let me know what you find, Thanks, Sea Breeze
