SOURCE: 65 inch Mitsubishi tv Model # vs-60703

so does it have sound??? If so then the set is probably in a hv shutdown because of a weak tube or is in vieo safty mode as the vert has failed in the set. On cost here in Michigan a tube could cost up to 300 bucks + labor and on the vert repair about 250.00 to 400.00 to fix

SOURCE: My mitsubishi 65-inch dlp tv

It's either mirror hinge fatigue or dust on the inside.
Mirror hinge fatigue can be fixed by putting a solid color picture (white or gray works best from what I understand) on the display and letting it sit for 20 minutes.
If it's dust, someone is going to have to go in there and clean it out.
Also could be a defective micromirror device.
Try the first suggestion and if it doesn't work, you're going to need a technician to take a look at it.

I would take a good look to make sure it got back together correctly, set does have a hidden adjustment menu once entered the Mitsubishi remote can adjust a lot of things including centering etc, want to be careful in that menu,,,confirm the model and I will give you the four digit enter code for the set.

Good morning, I am in the moving business and have a customer that wants me to move their large TV Mitsubishi medallion tv. She thinks is comes apart in two peices for easy moving and I need instructions...

If the model is a WS-65809 that sey doesnt come apart. Actually very few rear projection TVs can be seperated Some RCA TVs can be disassembled to several pieces. Also I would let customer know that because a CRT TV has three CRTs that are aligned to each other , Moving the TV will cause the convergence to be adjusted. Based on model it can be just pressing the auto convergence option with the remote, But older rear projection TVs (2003 and older) have been known to blow ICs after a move when trying to reset the convergence. The ICs weaken over age and they can blow anytime the convergence adjustment feature is used, so its always a good thing to let someone know that even if very careful when being moved there set may develop convergence issues after a move because its a 3 CRT rear projection TV

Is there any way to split the tv in two pieces for

I do not see any way to divide main wooden box of TV as you can remove front screen and back cover of TV but main cabinet of TV still remain the same.
Check below exploded views of WS-65313 for better explanation.
Thanks.

TV green light comes on a few seconds and then cuts back off and never shows a picture. Too big to get into a car to have it fixed. can anyone help with this

Sounds like the TV is in an error condition, and will not stay on (I know... duh).

The decision you need to make is whether or not the TV is worth calling an on-site TV company to diagnose and then perhaps fix the unit.

Best guess is:
$100 house call by "Atomic Television Fixers"
and $250-$400 for whatever control board is bad.

Again, how bad do you want to keep that television around...

Oh, by the way, that TV was probably delivered in one piece, but it will come apart in two major pieces for movement in tight places or removal from same. This procedure is described in the literature that was in the box when your television was delivered.

Best of luck,
Rob

Need to know if TV can be separted into 2 pieces

Yes it can and does come apart in 2 fairly equal sized pieces. There are some screws on the sides when removed the top half with the mirror will lift off. It may require some extra force the first time it is done but comes apart with ease after that

I have a Mitsubishi Ws-65907 I know it comes apart in two pieces Iwould like to give this TV to my father How do I take apart the top fromt he bottom. Any help thanks!!!

There are 4 plastic plugs (2 per side) that cover the allen wrench screws holding the top to the bottom. You will also have to take screws out of the back and pull the speaker grille to unhook the control panel. After unhooking and unscrewing everything, the tv will split in half.

HITACHI 65XWX20B - How to disassemble the cabinet?

The 65XWX20B comes apart in 2 pieces - there is a top half and a bottom half.

- The bottom half houses all of the electronics, projection lenses, etc. It is very heavy and should be moved with care.

- The top half is basically just the screen.

I have moved this Television multiple times, even up and down from a 3rd floor apartment!

- First remove the screws holding the top and the bottom, the important ones are on the sides of the TV.

- This is important, I suggest 3 people do this part: Slowly lift the top away from the bottom half of the TV, but -not- very far. There is small wiring harness that that attaches the top of the TV to the bottom to a circuit board. This must be unplugged by one person while the other 2 hold the top half of the TV slightly above the bottom half. Note carefully where this plugs in so that you can reassemble easily.

- Once this is disconnected the TV is much easier to move, although still quite heavy and bulky. Do not turn the TV on its side - keep it upright while moving.

Reverse this process to put it back together.

Once you have done it once it is quite easy.

Good luck.

Mitsubishi Projection TV dis-assembly

When I took mine apart, I had to unscrew all the screws on the pegboard, then there are some screws along the midsection on both sides. Other than that, there weren't any cables or anything to be leary of. It was really pretty easy. Hope that helps.
