My Optura 60cannot communicate to my PC. I dont have the original discs but the original programs are installed. The driver seems to be corrupt. I would like to do basic movie tranfers. What do I need? I have Camera Window and ZoomBrowser EX but they cannot communicate with the camera. I am using the firewire connection. I have gone to Canon's "free" driver download site, but it turns out that there is a cost for "free". Very frustrating.Where can I get the original driver discs so that I can re-load these programs?

Go to the "Add and Remove Programs" in your Control panel.
Do a "Change" and do the 'repair program' utility.
That should fix it, good as new.
If that is not a possible option, try uninstalling. (if there is no "Change" and 'repair program') then Run the normal uninstall program.

make sure you are using firewire only-not usb-if you are using firewire the computer should recoginize the camcorder as soon as you plug it in
