Electrical problems. I changed the main AMP three times.

  • isaiah29512 Oct 31, 2009

I replaced the battery. But for some reason the car will not start. The radio, lights, or horn will not work. So I replaced the main fuse. Whenever I put in a new fuse, the connect breaks.

Electrical problems doesn't say when/where/why/how your problem is affecting the car, we can't help by just electrical problem. If you were to call the doctor and say sick problems took aspirin he would never be able tell you what's wrong... Plese provide more info on your problem so we may better assist you.

Did this just start when you replaced the battery or was already giving problems? If so I would double check the terminals to make sure you have the blk to ground and the red to positive and nothing was pinched/pulled loose while changing it.

My radio/cd player is draining the (brand new VW) battery so that sometimes the car (2003 VW Bora) does not start. It starts fine when I charge the battery with a charger. It is a DB 328R Clarion radio which is not the factory fitted one.

F150 wont start don't even get lights or anything battery good but nothing else works

What year F-150 ? Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuits ? Find a electrical distribution diagram at http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model and engine size . Under system click electrical distribution , then under subsystem click power distribution . Click the search button ,then the blue links one at a time . Start at the battery , with a volt meter ,what's the voltage . Then check main power feeds to power distribution (fuse /relay) boxes . Under the hood , inside the vehicle etc... The first diagram shows two main 30 amp fuse in the ( BJB ) one supply's B+ to the starter relay an if you look down about 5 or 6 diagrams you will A goes to the ignition switch. The other 30 amp fuse powers the PCM power relay . Both of those if open could cause your problem . If these are ok keep looking at main power feeds etc....

your overloaded I presume you have other itemswired in and its tripping the fuse or you don't have the correct amp fuse in there, if it says 10 amp don't put a 5 or a 20 put a 10 amp. if it continues to trip yes you are over loaded somewhere.

Replaced Blower Motor and Resistor.AC works but the Blower Motor relay Keeps melting.

So you need a repair shop or dealer to do the
required testing to find & resolve ALL wiring
& electrical problems

You do not want a guess from an internet site
Doesn't work that way

Need wiring diagrams, lots of your time to explain the
issues & some detailed & possibly lengthy & for you, costly
labor time, to just find the main issue

1997 Chevy Blazer. The ignition will not turn off always or allow me to remove the key for several tries up to an hour. Pretty aggravating. I have other issues & have read that they could all be part...

Maybe true, but your first priority should be to get that ignition switch looked at (three parts - key module, the cable from it to the electrical switch, and the electrical switch, and it's usually the electrical switch), then see what problems go away. If the compressor clutch won't engage (electrical problem), that could be related to your ignition switch problem.

Fuel filter changed of Saturn Vue 2002

Never allow Saturn touch a Saturn.
During the oil change, the Saturn dealer loosened the center positive electrical battery cable at the main fuse box, drivers side, under hood.
The loose positive cable results in an electrical surge that wipes out the cps.
The new cps is only avaqilable from Saturn.
When the new cps is delivered, one electrical pen will be bend down and must be straightened prior to insertion of male and female electrical connector to the cps. Otherwise the new cps will fail.
Be certain to tighten the center positive post of three that secure the main fuse box in place. The center post must be tightened to ensure the new cps is not destroyed by subsequent electrical surges which result when Saturn Dealer loosens the center fuse box post.

2002 saturn vue

Cause of the problem:
During a non-related visit to the Saturn dealer, ie for an oil change, the Saturn dealer loosened the center of three bolts that electrically connect the main battery plus cable to the main fuse box, driver side, under hood, near windshield.
Affect of loose electrical plus cable
A loose cable, probably on the way home from the oil change, causes electrical surges that destroy the CPS and result in catastropic engine failure.
Fix:
Replace the cps. Available only from the Saturn dealer, the new cps exchange will also result in catastrophic failure when replaced.
Problem with CPS Replacement:
The Saturn dealer will bend down one of the electrical conductors on the electrical connector to the new cps. Upon insertion of the electrical connector into the cps recepticle, the bent pen will defeat cps funcetion.
Fix for the Fix
Straighten each electrical pen to the new Saturn supplied cps. Carefully reconnect the connector to the cps making certain each pen is properly inserted.
Be sure to tighten the plus center connector that holds the main fuse box firmly connected to the main plus battery cable.

Saturn will make you pay dearly and ruin your VUE engine because you shame shame shame on you because you did not pay Saturn the big bucks demanded by Saturn to renew the inadequate Saturn maintenance agreement.
