Your refrig uses a main control board that is on a recall list .The board uses a WR55X10552 . The replacement board is WR55X10656 . I would suggest calling GE factory service and they will cover this under warrenty , due to the recall .

My frost free fridge freezer is working but flashing de on the front. I'd like to know what it means

Error codes are brand (and often model) specific. "de" likely indicates something in the defrost process, especially on G.E. Check for ice build-up in the freezer cooling coil. The control board would be suspect, but must be checked to confirm the precise fault.

I have a GE fridge side by side model GSH25JFTFWW. It is not keeping milk and fresh food cold. What is the problem?

There could be a defrost problem. This has an electronic control board. If the freezer has ice build up on the back panel then it isn't defrosting. this could be from a bad defrost heater, of defrost thermostat. the problem could also be from a bad thermistor on the coils. this won't allow the control board to defrost. It could be a bad control board of damper fan .

GE Profile Side by Side is getting too cold on the fridge side.

I have a GE refrigerator with the same problem of my food freezing in the refrigerator. I spoke to an appliance part person and they sold me a temperature sensor for 20 bucks. They said it would be located in the control panel, but I took the control panel off and can't find the sensor. I'm now looking on yahoo answers to find out where the sensor is located.
