Just downloaded eastern maps from tom tom home site.when i first switched it on it says to activate it at a web site (which i cannot find the address of now because i pressed the button for connect to computer).
the cities seem to be there but cannot find my position ,is this cause i,
'm in uk and not eastern europe.
does anyone know that website address

Yon should have a reset button on your system but by connecting to the computer shouldn't have changed anything unless you made a mistake and set uo the wrong map.

It is possible (almost certain) that the GB map you have is licensed to be used on that particular model. It is like Apple not allowing an Ipod owner to play music not downloaded through iTunes. You should consider buying a new GB, or even a European map valid for your GPS.
You can activate products by connecting the unit to a USB port of a computer. If The Tomtom Home application is installed on computer it will launch and update the unit. On page 1 of main Home menus there is an icon for activation.
