Hi Sarah, there are two screws on each side of the lid holding the shaft for the hinges. Open the lid to access them, You will need an Allen wrench to take them off, after that, just lift the lid up to take it out. Hope this help. Thanks.

When our lid broke (the plastic knob part broke from the rest of the plastic lid when my wife dropped it), I was able to glue it back on using Devcon "Weld it" adhesive. (Available at any hardware). So far it's held for over six years of regular use.

Otherwise you can always find use a glass replacement lid from Rival. I seen them going for $12 on Ebay (which included shipping). Look for 10-3/8" diameter, 5 quart.

You will need a lid switch if striker is good. Check your lid switch striker to make sure its not broke( thats the white plastic piece on the lid) good luck thanks for voting......

usually a new lid costs about 10-30 dollars. depending on where you go.... i would check around at local hardware stores, like Lowes, Menards, (if you have one), walmart, ace hardware. places like that. now if they don't carry them you definitely check on amazon usually they have a lot of lids that you can purchase.. if none of that works you might have to call the manufacturer to get a new one. i fyou have anymore questions please let me know.

Simply attach both wires from the switch to jumper.

I could not find a lid so I baught a new crockpot.

Use piece of good masking tape to keep close the battery-lid.
