If you have a Brookstone remote control this will work for you. This sequence will also work with most universal remotes. If it doesn't let me know and I will try to find the codes for you. Just remember to send the Brand and model (very important when finding this info for you).

Here you go. This will work with most all universal remote controls. If you don't have the code do the following:
Automatic Programming
With automatic programming, the remote control tests all the codes available on the Code List and assigns the correct code for the selected device. Although this method can be more time-consuming, it eliminates the need to look up codes and enter them manually.

1. Turn off the device with which you want to use the remote control, keep in mind when not trying to use this sequence with any other remote than a Brookstone you might have to have the unit on when doing this, then it will turn off when you have the right code. I would try the first option first.

2. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control
(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) until POWER INDICATOR illuminates. It should take a couple of seconds for the light to remain solid. The remote control is in programming mode.

3. Press and release power button. The POWER INDICATOR flashes once and stays on indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode.

4. Press CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down repeatedly until the device turns on.

5. When the device turns on, press OK to store the code.

Note:
• To exit without storing the code, press BACK.
• The unit will search for the next code or the previous code if you press
CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down after the device turns on. (go slow you need to press OK when the TV turns on) if you mess up turn TV off and start over.
6. Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.

Fill free to ask me questions about anything.......................…

Hope this helps, let me know if I can help you with anything else. It would be very kind of you if this does work for you to please rate me or leave a short note. I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

I have a oleia tv im trying to program my rca rcu403 but it wont work

your oleia tv code is 1610 OR 1240 OR 073
In order for the 3 component universal remote to control your TV you must program it with the TV code
that matches your TV These instructions explain the preferred method of programming the remote the
Direct Entry method 1 Manually turn on the TV
2 Locate the enclosed TV Code List. Find your brand of TV
Note If your brand isn t listed, use one of the Code Search methods to
program this remote control See Code Search on page 24
3 Press and hold the CODE SEARCH key until the indicator light
illuminates Then release the CODE SEARCH key
4 Press and release the TV key The indicator light blinks and then remains lit
5 Use the number keys to enter the first code listed for your brand.
After you enter a valid three digit code, the indicator light turns off
Note If you enter an invalid code the LED will flash rapidly for 2 seconds

For a description of each key on the remote control refer to the Key
Descriptions section
If your component s brand isn t listed in the Code List or you have tried all of the codes for your brand and
the remote does not operate your component use one of the Code Search methods below Manual Code
Search or Auto Code Search. Both Code Search methods search all of the codes because your component s
code may be listed under another brand in the code list.
Note The Code Search method may take a long time because the remote searches all of the codes in its
memory for the code which operates your component. Therefore, if your brand is listed in the Code List
use the Direct Entry method described Manual Code Search
1 Turn on the component you want the remote to operate.
2 Press and hold the CODE SEARCH key until the indicator
light illuminates. Then release the CODE SEARCH key.
3 Press and release the component key that corresponds to the
component you want the remote to operate TV
indicator light blinks once and then
remains lit
4 Aim the remote at the component and press the ON OFF key
continuously until the component turns off
Important Because there are so many codes, you may have
to press the ON OFF key many times possibly up to
200 times.
5 When the component turns off press the ENTER key to store
the code
6 Use Code Retrieval on the next page to identify the code for
your component for future reference

Trying to program memorex dvd. cant find code, HELP!

Hello
The manual of the remote control you speified here contains no codes lited. But there is a possiblilty to find out the code by search method. If the device you wants to control with this remote control has codes stored in the remote memory, you can exit it by code search method.

Code Search By Brand.

Lets you search for a code for a specific Brand within

the Code Library for a particular manufacturer.

1. Turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.

2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red

indicator remains on, then release SETUP button.

3. Press and quickly release the desired mode button

(TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks off once.

4. Press and release the numeric button (0-9)

corresponding to desired Manufacturer (see table on

code list sheet). The red indicator blinks off once.

Note, pressing "0" performs a full library search same

as normal Code Search Method on previous page.

5. Press the CHANNEL UP button ((or POWER or

PLAY (VCR only)) repeatedly until the device to be

controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks

off with each button press. If you accidentally

overshoot the code required, press the CHANNEL

DOWN button to backtrack through the library until

the device changes channel. Pressing CHANNEL

UP changes direction to forward again.

6. Press and release MUTE to install the code.

Brand Search Method entry is now complete.

Note: When all codes under a Brand have been searched
the red indicator flashes rapidly for 3 seconds.
Try this. Good luck.

Lost manual need to know how to set remote to tv

Hi,

You need 2 things to program your remote to your TV, the programming instructions and the correct code for your TV brand. There are 4 different methods for programming the remote, which are explained in the following videos:

Direct code search:
http://audiovox2.info/videos/rca_acc/new_intro.html

Auto code search:
http://audiovox2.info/videos/rca_acc/auto_code.html

Brand code search:
http://audiovox2.info/videos/rca_acc/brand_code.html

Manual code entry:
http://audiovox2.info/videos/rca_acc/manual_code.html

Sorry, but there is too much information to list it all here so it's much easier if you watch the videos. You will need to have Adobe Flash Player installed on your PC to view them:

http://get.adobe.com/flash/

Please note, your remote is fairly old and if you are requesting this information in order to program your remote to a NEW TV, the code searches and manual code entry are NOT guaranteed to work.
If the code searches don't work, it's unlikely that your remote can be used with your TV, but if you need to use the manual code entry method, you can find the codes for all TV brands here:

http://rcaaccessories.com/remotefinder/?sku=RCR311B&productType=TV

I can't find the code for my insignia TV, for thr universal remote control

Found this bit of info online:

PROBLEM: Tried “Search Method” and still could not find a working code.
SOLUTION: Try the “Search Method” again after clearing out the device key as follows: Press and hold SETUP until device key blinks twice, then release. Next enter 9 - 9 - 2.Then press and release the device key to be cleared twice.

And then I'm assuming you already have the instructions for searching for codes, but I'll post here anyway.

1. Turn on your TV.

2. On the remote control, press TV once; it will blink once. Then press and hold SETUP until the TV key blinks twice, then release SETUP.

3. Enter 9 - 9 - 1.The TV key will blink twice.

4. Aim the remote control at the TV and slowly alternate between pressing PWR and TV.
Stop when the TV turns off.

NOTE: In the search mode, the remote control will send IR codes from its library to the selected device, starting with the most popular code first.

5. Press SETUP once to lock in the code. The TV key will blink twice.

6. To search for the codes of your other devices, repeat steps 1 through 5, but substitute the appropriate key (e.g., AUX, DVD, AUD, or CBL) for the device you are searching for
Good luck!
