Broken screen the screen of my tv is broken. Is there any chance that I can buy only the screen? Thanks Cracked screen can it be repaired or does it have to be replaced? TV functions fine. Is it expensive? Tv is not a year old yet.

I am sorry, a broken or cracked screen can not be repaired.

Buy a new one, It's hard to find someone willing to repair cracked/broken screens, and even if you do it's often more expensive than replacing the set. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news =(

Sorry, but you simply don't.

The 50" plasma screen is overwhelmingly the single most expensive part of your tv; when you bought the tv new you effectively got all the other bits almost for free. If the screen is broken then you must hope that you have insurance cover for accidental damage and eventually buy another. To buy and install the screen alone will cost far more than the cost of buying a complete new tv.

By "broken" I'm assuming that you mean the screen is cracked or physically damaged. If you simply mean that the screen is not coming on or that it's displaying images incorrectly then please add a comment to clarify this with a full description of the problem as that's just a screen which isn't working and may well be repairable.

It is broken,The outside is a Polorised film.Like window tint,It is repairable,New LCD screen.But may be cheeper to buy a new TV. GET A EXT.WARENTY!!! will not cover accidents but the new tv's do break alot,and are expensive to repair.
Buy a name brand, NOT RCA "junk" Just a name
no longer a company. Samsung,Panasonic,Sony. If you want to support the USA buy another Sharp. Still a great TV. And made in America. NOTE they make after market screen protectors. GOT KIDS? GET ONE. :) Or even a piece of plexie glass if cash is tight. Hope this helps.

The display screen is the most expensive part to replace in your plasma tv. In most cases its cheaper to buy the same model. Instead of buying the part and paying a repair man to fix it....Broken screen = junked plasma

yes u can change the screen ok now go to the shop where u buyed ask him to change the screen it will around 5000 to 15000 thousand ask him to change and ask him the price also

i have a 42"pd6600 which has a broken pcb board, my house insurance got me a new samsung 1080p and left me with the hitachi also. the set still works but flicks from picture to dark due to the pcb which aparently costs more than £400. would you like to buy it?

samsung.com says it has to be repaired by local dealer. get quote first. probably cheaper to just buy a new one.

Cracked inner screeen means broken plasma panel and most likely a unit not worth repair.
